Also watch the price of engine oil. Some dealers charge up to £70 for it. Supply your own!

Which oil do you recommend and how much of it?

It needs just under 4.5l. I would recommend a semi synthetic oil.

10W-30 or 15W-40 is best for the UK climate.

As i live in the Longton area of Stoke on trent i think i too will be using Lexus Stoke did they do a good job ?

They did do a good job, and not a bad price. And they are Replacing your stereo under warranty - Free Of Charge, because it is broken.

ALTHOUGH - I only brought the car a few months ago and it had Stone chipping on the bonnet - so I paid ALOT of money to get it sprayed, and as it is metalic I had the wings and front bumper done (really the whole front end re-sprayed).

This cost as you can imagine was an absolutley stupid amount of money.

But when my car returned out of the garage after the service - I noticed a large indention on the top passenger side of my bonnet. So I WASN'T 2 PLEASED!!!!!

I told Lexus Stoke the situation and that they would have to foot the cost of having it put right.

2 guys looked at the fault - a Sales Director and a Afer Sales Director (one had a squeaky voice :) and although I could prove it was done in there, they agreed to repair it.

My Lex is goin in 2 get this sorted on Fri, so I'll let you know.

Exactly same thing happened to me, Dave, at Hatfield. Put it in for service, picked it up that night, got home, then noticed a f :tsktsk: off nasty great chip in the centre of bonnet. Went back next morning, fuming demanding to see someone about it, as it defo was not there before they got their grubby mitts on it. After sales manager insisted it was a stone chip on my way home.

I could see I was getting nowhere and conceded, then coughed up £500 for respray at the recommended Lexus Repair Centre.

Still haven't forgiven them for it and will try my hardest not to use them again.

I think the total Price was about £300 with everything.

I took is back to get the dent sorted, and they did a great job :D

Even got a little dent out of my door for free!
