Clean MOT pass - not bad at 117k miles

Recommended Posts

Been using the ISF quite a bit recently racking up the miles and she is running like a dream - nice to get a straight pass today no advisories and not bad going considering the mileage. Just shows the quality of these cars.

Lovely feeling isnt it? Its also good to know I've got at least another 80k in her before before i even need to start worrying about anything serious. Was it not a Lexus philosophy that the car should feel the same at 200k as it did when new... or was that just something I made up in my head?

Maybe that is just from practice?

But that is not only engines.. Obviously, with decent maintenance all aggregates would work for long time, but as well interior and suspension. I used to own IS250 F-sport from new before I came to UK and now own almost 8 years old IS250 with many many miles on it. And it still drives nearly as new, obviously there is wear and tear on the gear knob (£25 to replace) and steering wheel (maybe ~£75 to get leather replaced), but except of that there are no funny sounds and the rest of interior looks like car covered maybe 16k miles, but not 160k.. Even drivers seat is in good shape.. yes getting shinny in the places, but that is about it.

Mot last month with no advisories.. but obviously I knew that service was done .. so no surprises.

Our old Vectra 2003 plate, given to our son a few years ago, has just done 110,000 miles.

Its been a cracking car, but it's been well looked after by me while we had it, and surprisingly by me while the sons had it

maintainance, maintainance, maintainance, as with all cars.
