Pedestrian warning system

Just looking around the internet theres old chat about ct's that have an audible noise to warn pedestrians the cars there in ev mode at low speed. Cant say ive noticed this and would say mines pretty quiet in ev. Did uk cars get this? Am i not listening for the right thing or can it only be heard outside the vehicle?

Well if mine has it then it isn't working cos I've had several people walk out in front of me in car parks then turn round and jump when they see me sneaking up!

UK cars dont get it, an american thing I believe.

For the better as well IMO, it makes a horrid noise!

Excellent, its like stealth mode!! best thing about getting a new car thats been out a few years is people know all the answers to the newbie questions lol.

been driving 20yrs + but the hybrid side of things certainly brings a new element to ownership.
