Hi Everyone,

Been a while since I joined a forum, but with how toxic Facebook has become recently I thought I would try a forum.

Just picked up this lovely (if a bit tatty) Lexus IS300h. I got it cheap, so it needs some work, but mostly cosmetic.

Look forward to asking lots of questions and posting up the tidying up and small mods I do to it. Currently looking for some new wheels for it. But that will probably happen after Christmas now.

All the best to everyone.

Thanks everyone. I had a Civic Type R before this and I have recently started doing a lot of miles for work(mostly city based miles). So it was getting a bit laborious with the short ratio box and expensive in servicing and fuel. I had two IS200's in the past and loved them. So decided on the IS300h as it ticked so many boxes. I love it already and can't wait to get it back up to a decent standard.

It has poor paintwork, shoddy tyres and the interior looks like it been used to carry around long swords! The front bumper is in a state, so going to keep my eye out for an F Sport front grill.

On the hunt for some new wheels too, I prefer aftermarket to oem and I have a taste for jdm parts. So Work, Rays, Advan or Wedssport will hopefully be added next year.

There is also a small knock from the rear passenger side suspension. From what I can hear its the shock topping out. So I may put some Tein coilovers on, rather than oem shocks. I have run them on all my cars since I started driving and no to lower the car by a great deal, but just to improve the ride/adjustability and hopefully save some weight.

I'll start a build thread if you have a section for that and log my progress (although it will be a bit slow).
