Heated seat problem

Recommended Posts

The heated seats in my 2022 ES Takumi, leather seats, get barely warm after half an hour. I sent the car back to the dealers to fix and was told they couldn't do anything as that was as good as it gets. Does anyone have any idea of how hot the seats should get. Friends cars, ot Lexus,  need the heating turned down after 15 minutes or you feel like you are being cooked alive.  Thanks

FWIIW I have never ridden on any heated seat that did not toast my backside within a few minutes. I think this is one of those common sense things. When the heated seat really isn't working right a blind man on a fast horse can tell. In which case your dealership needed a boot up the backside, because from your statement above what you have got is not fit for purpose under any test of reasonableness.

I previously had a 2017 IS300H where the driver seat did not heat up. I took it to a Lexus dealer for inspection but they told me it was operating as normal.

The heated seats in some Lexus models are really poor and you can hardly feel any heat.

The issue here is one of fit for purpose by law according to a test of what is reasonable. Sounds to me like Lexus have been fortunate not to be taken behind the garden shed on this.

I had the same issue on my 2020 ES (before it was stolen 🤣). Dealer told me it was working fine, I even tried sitting in a brand new one on the lot and it was similar so  assumed it was just how it was. My 2014 CT used to get so much warmer.
