I really do appreciate everyone's help & support. It seems like from here that the general consensus is to go with a independent garage NOT a lexus main dealer.

I noticed while driving that i'm hearing noise from the back seats and it sounds like leather crunching, anyone experienced this?

What's the solution? I put middle rear cup holders down and didn't hear so..... any thoughts?

Do you hear this when the suspension compresses? As when negotiating a dip or bump?

@NemesisUK

Hi Peter, I didn't particularly notice it on dips or bumps.

Lol, it's not always practical! But yes if it works then I guess why not...

I think noise is from leathers rubbing against each other.

I don’t use it personally so I cannot really comment - only that AG state the balm should make it more supple and therefore might help with your squeaking. It’s possible that just the cleaner on its own leaves the surface dry and prone to creaking.

It might be worth pushing some cloth/tissue between all the points where two pieces of leather rub, just to confirm this is the source of your noise.

It's not speaking, more like a crunchy leather sound which isn't terrible.

Clean the sides of the rear centre armrest and where it fits into the seat. Also clean the sides of the split rear seat where they go together. Just use the leather cleaner. It's fine on it's own.

I would love to update the maps inside my rx400h to something newer or up to date, does anyone know if that is possible & how?

Your dealer might still sell them but if they do it will be expensive and I think 2018/2019 was the last update. Alternatively try here

Personally I would just get a phone holder and use your smartphone which will be up to date and have live traffic etc.

Exactly this ☝️.  Absolutely no point in spending money on, or even attempting to update, such an old SatNav facility.

But because I'm a contrary so and so I still got the updated disc on eBay 😆 As Colin says, 2018 but I HAD TO DO IT!

Never used it in anger...

I just inflated all my tyres to 40psi because felt like they needed a pump but to be honest I don't know the recommended and correct pressure?

Yes I checkedinside the door and all I see is this attached: 20250511_160334.thumb.jpg.6be473da6aa42842335fec5224e34e4a.jpg

Which shows the correct cold pressure is 32psi below 180kph and 34psi above 180kph

You may find it’s a data update, but not a firmware update.  So even if it loads, it won’t do anything to improve what is essentially a very poor system.

Considering that Lexus went to Mark Levinson to get a decent audio system, it’s a mystery to me why they didn’t get the likes of, say, Garmin to supply a decent satnav!

Hi Peter,

I filed them all up to 40, is that a problem or good or better for fuel economy?

It will reduce the rolling resistance and so could marginally reduce fuel consumption BUT the tyres will wear more quickly in the tread centre, the ride will become hard, there may be handling and traction issues and as the tyres heat up (through being driven) they may over-pressure and cause carcass damage.
