Caught Speeding..

So i got caught doing 36 in a 30 via a digital camera.

so i filled out hte addmision form.. which offers 3 points and 60 quid fine.

now i got a letter back and they say that they intend to educate rather than persicute.

SO i can either take the points and fine OR atend a 3 hour Speed Awarness Scheme thing which will cost me 71 quid AND NO POINTS.

It ONLY applies to those caught doing 36.......less and you woulda got away with it....more and you get the fine.

Only if you get caught again inside of 3 years, you dont get the option.

Its a piece of p*ss, you get to sit down in front of a computer for a coupla hours, and do lil simulation type things, and have a chat in general about speeding.

these courses are a great money spinner if you work them out £71 * 20ppl (approx)

mornig and afternoon sessions 5 days a week. (2840 a day)

I'd definately go on the speed awareness scheme. If you get the 3 points and the 60 quid fine, your surposed to declair the points to your insurance company, and your premium may go up.

was a fixed one in high wycombe, and comes under the hampshire speed camera parternship area.
