Just spotted this pop-up on the Lexus site.

January Sale

Purchase any approved used Lexus before the 31st January 2005 and qualify for one of the following offers:

1.Low rate finance from 7.9%APR (conditions apply please call for details).

2.Free reversing sensors colour coded to the vehicle.

3.2 years/20000 miles free scheduled servicing.

Please call us on 020-8892-2523 for full details.

I'm picking my IS300 up on Friday! Very tempted by the reversing sensors, any one have them fitted? Are they worth it over the servicing?

NNNNNNooooooooooooooooooooooo

This could force me to change my ideas quickly :o

Personally pal I'd go with whatever was worth the most to me, option 2 could be done for less than £200, I do about 14k a year so number 3 would be worth more, and depending on value etc option 1 could be the biggest saver?

Would be worth working it out....

wouldnt have said the loan rate was that low

as aido says the sensors are £200 worth

servicing costs would be around £350 - £400

i would try and dismiss these offers and go for a decent discount

or at least a choice of extras that you would want

Don't think they'd let me take the receptionist home Bazza :P

I'm crap with loan figures though, can't you get 5ish percent from some banks nowadays? I haven't got a clue but paying somewhere around 8 or 9 percent on mine I think?

My bank offered me 6.6% without any fuss at all.

I found 5.9% through www.1clickmortgages.com - can pick from Alliance and leicester or Direct line. It's only a saving of about £7/month based on £10k over 3 years.

Is this Deal with all Lexus Centers? or just one?

im just about to get my car, I wasnt offered any of those options :(

The dealership I am using hasn't mentioned it either but I got this info from www.lexus.co.uk so maybe it's an incentive from HQ. I'm going to be ringing that number this morning.

i have 6% apr on the is200 i just bought... so if lexus tells us that 7.9% is low... than i live in the netherlands again and speak italaan!

The 7.9% will be on a finance deal and you have certain extra benefits from the consumer credit act when buying a car with finance over an unsecured personal loan. Most convenient one being after half of the loan term you can take the car back to the dealership and terminate the loan.
