Does it make this noise at 60 - 70 at any speed or is it purely when you are holding a certain rev range? Is the noise present at that speed in third, fourth, fifth and sixth gears?

Is the AC on or off?

What milage is on the car, and is it regularly maintained?

Sounds like you've got a pretty new vehicle there then, they aren't even starting to wear in til 10k+

May be worth trying with AC off just to rule the pump out?

Seeing as it's such low milage any problems you're getting like this should be covered by the dealer warranty - have you taken it to them yet mate?

First I'd advise checking your warranty cover, best to get it checked out properly before something pops :shutit:

Trust me I'm a mechanic

I'd probably advise you get a HPi check done ...... if you didn't already do so ?

£8K for a car with only 4,200 ???? ............ Don't sound right to me ............

I get a noise to at that speed and it gets louder the faster I go; not so easy to fix but it goes away when the wife stays at home...

Good luck with the problem.

Does the noise change if you are in a lower gear at the same speed?

Does it change in pitch when you take your foot off the loud pedal?

Does it change when you put it into neutral at the same speed
