no mike not by how its run, but the actions of people towards the moderators, and i know this, because i speak to him regular, infact twas only thursday that we spoke about this.

It was me... I am fed up with the crap you post having a blatant go at the way the club is run. It has been working for the last 4 years perfectly.

yes mike you can make your opinions public, however remember this club is more than you and the people you dislike.

id prefer to spend my time helping members than constantly voicing my opinon!.

we have been here before many times, no one is going to change the way the club is run to pacify the few that dont like the way its run.

moderating a site fairly isn't an easy task.....

i've ****** off my fair share of members in the past, thats how site's like www.mondeosport.co.uk came into existence

Unfortunetly you have to over-ride the few to maintain the many....

thank you for your supposrt, however Moderating is becoming easier, the more we get ****** off the easier it is to NOT be liberal in our actions, at the end of the day, we do this for the members, if the few that dont like it feel its fine to turn what was once a fantastic forum into a cess pitt of abuse, and a forum thats lost its meaning, then fine, id rather lose those members to gain those that dont wish to join because of the bad atmosphere

1 disruptive member lost is 5 new members gained

LOC is not a soap box, its a forum for lexus owners

And i was just getting started on Morse lol!!

I must say that some moderation is needed and i do take my hat off to you guys and the dude on strike too, otherwise it would end in a free for all like the ok coral. I only hav to click some of the other forums i am a member off to have a chuckle.

Come on guys... don't we get enough politics from our companies and from westminster? We don't need it spilling over here as well :(

The mods do a good job IMNSHO, and in some cases it is absolutely needed. I have seen other forums under threat of litigation because of a member exercising their right to "free speech" without due thought to the consequences because the post in question was construed to be a personal attack on a specific named individual who was not a forum member but who became aware of the post. Not a good situation for a forum to be in. Since that time, the other forum in question has been more strictly moderated, much to the irritation of a small handful of individuals, but for the greater good and it has become more successful at the same time.

If you want to see over-moderation in action, check out the Activ9 boards, where any chat in the forums is deleted (apparently that's what the chatroom's for, never mind the fact that when you enter, no other bugger's there).
