Altezza Headunit Wiring

Recommended Posts

Ok just a quick question if anyone knows which of the factory wires can be used for power and ACC. I have the model with the external amp. I looked at the wiring diagrams for the IS300 which are the only ones i could find, but the wires are different Just need to know which to colour wires i can use. I have acc power but when i press the ON button on the New HU the lights just flicker on for a sec and then off. Can i power the HU straight off the Battery? If anyone has any Altezza specific wiring diagrams can they stick them up please.

So found this diagram but its for a 2002 IS300. Does anyone know if the wiring is the same? I think the 3 cables i need are highlighted in red in the below pic. Can anyone verify this for me? Thanks

Yeah its them three according to that diagram.

From what i remember it was pretty obvious in my IS200 them three wires were the fattest ones.

Thanks stav ill go have a look for some fat wires now!

If that fails the connector block should have numbers on it that correspond with the drawing so you can tell that way! i assume the connector is the same.

Alternatively take your 12v from the cigarette lighter (underneath) and use an inline fuse for safety....

If you have a multimeter and a scotch lock and insulating tape then it's a process of elimination...

Ok this diagram isnt even remotely similar to my wiring, After an hour testing with the multimeter i discovered that there is one red wire you can use for 12v supply and a black wire for the ACC. Ill post up some pics soon
