What Air Filter

If you had to choose between a TRD drop-in air filter or a K&N one, which would you go for? Has anyone any experience / comments on either one.

Think id go for the K& N. Purely because alot of Trd's stuff is only branded by them anyway. (I think....)

Kaz is right......TRD, HKS, Greddy is outsourced. K&N make their own kit.

If not then the normal one for an IS

Yeah Ally you definitely want the K&N one, the TRD one is just the same as the standard Toyota one but in red from what Mat's posted before so a waste of money :)

sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone else make and induction kit with piping apart from prolex?? id rather have an induction kit if there was one priced reasonably otherwise its a drop filter for me too

Has anyone tried the pipercross dropin filters? Would a drop in filter give the same noise as an induction kit?

Went ahead and bought a K&N for £36.86 from fasterfilters.com:D

I also have a drop-in filter.Works better than the OEM.No need for pipercross.

had a K&N panel filter in for just over a week now and its a LOT more responsive through the gears as well as having a nicer engine tone. :)

@ Kazi, you should be able to clean your's yourself mate as they are have lifetime useage :winky: :)
