i was in the bidding to the end, left at 5300 would have cost me 200 to get it home and was a little concerned about issues it may have had from standing.perished oil possible carbonized oil ways , seized brakes etc.however if its a good one needing £500 paint and a £300 service then i think the new owner has bought the best £6500 car ive ever seen

Just noticed this thread.

Many Aristos seized of that year 'cos they were stolen.

So it's probably been sitting around since 2000/2001.

Engine/gearbox might work but brakes + master cylinder prob. shot.

Not to mention sludge build up - moisture in the fuel lines, etc. A full flush with oil and ATF would also be required with new pads, discs and calipers all around. Still a nice deal though! :).
