It Official - It's Written Off

Hi everyone,

The insurance assessor phoned me at 5pm. It's official - my car is written off!

We had a serious haggling session though! He wouldn't go any higher than £17,300. I had no choice but to take it in the end as I just couldn't get him to go any higher. In the end he said bluntly that I could have my car fixed if I wanted. I decided to take the cash and run whilst I COULD!

Anyway, I'm off down to Lexus Hadleigh tomorrow afternoon to order a new car. Well, I'll be ordering a new car if I can get a good deal! Otherwise, I'm just going to bank the cash for now and see what sort of deal other dealers will come up with!

I'll let you all know how I get on!

Surely this is a good advert for the Lexus GAP scheme......if javaboss had GAP (guarenteed asset protector) he would now have the full list price for a new motor

Makes me glad I took it out :)

Where can I find out more about GAP insurance?

Is it done through Lexus or through your insurance company?

How much will it cost?
