New Tyres

It was about time for me to get new tyres, and I had been putting it off for a few reasons, (also I don’t drive the car as much recently) but finally it was the right time to do it !

sorry officer my tyres are so bald that theres absolutely no grip what so ever when i pull away under full accleration thats why there was so much smoke

I once saw a driving school car do something very similar. I asked my pupil to pull up on the left behind a Kia Picanto with L plates on it. My pupil and I could hear this Picanto reving away and the back end of the car bobbing up and down as if the driver was having trouble balancing the accelerator and the bighting point of the clutch. The Picanto then rolled back about a foot, the engine bounced off the rev limiter and the pupil dumped the clutch. It left the fattest number 11 up the road I have ever seen.

I need some new tyres too and I would do that but I am selling the alloys so it looks better selling alloys with low thread tyres then bald ones, otherwise I'd be trying to get the back end out on an empty car park! LOL

Lol ! Camera man was some dude from work. We finished late, and were pretty much the last people on our estate. I didn't really tell him what I was going to do except for just take photos.

I've not done anything like this since I was 19 or so, and that was the 1st time I’ve done it in a RWD car. Took me a while to get it going, and reminded me of being a naughty child, but it was fun for a little while.

Very happy with the new wheels. I was surprised, as they look a lot better than I thought they would of done.

Not sure TBH, I haven’t really thought about it. They are corroded to F**k, and I had been toying with the idea of trying out a lil DIY refurbing.

I finally got around to fitting them, and i'm very pleased with them, so thanks again

Yeah i got the centre caps now, they turned up yesterday, and with my Gold membership discount, i saved myself £1.32
