Water In Wheel Well

Went to check my spare wheel to make sure all was OK just in case I needed it with the snow, and lifted the wheel out and there is/was quite a bit of water in the well.

Anyone had this?

Very common, take the boot seal off clean it & around it , run a bead of silicone sealent around the metal lip replace the seal & all should be well.

It's exactly as ManicMark says.

There is a rubber drain plug in the wheel well to get rid of the pond.

Suggestions like that could get you banned! You must remember this is a quality car and therefore koi carp, some floating pond lights and a water feature are required.

nobody made the "that's why its called a well" gag? :)

I have heard our cars can also weep water in through the tail light aperture. This can be fixed in the same way outlined for the boot seal.

Hi Guys , been following this post as ive recently done the boot seal / silicone bead job and im still gettting water in the n/s outer well.

What part of the light assy needs sealing ? is it just the push in plugs? also could it be the black plastic piece about the light in the drain channel?
