all japanese cars require undersealing on entry to the uk

they dont require underseal in japan as the climate is so temperate

Are you sure about the Lexus models? All the MR2 and Supras I looked at had underseal which was not applied in the UK. Looked at an FTO once for a friend and it was just paint underneath. Seems Toyota underseal their cars and other manufactures don't.

are you sure there not done on entry to the UK

No, I saw my MR2T the day the dealer got it and it was undersealed. All the other Toyota imports I have looked at have had underseal which looked the age of the vehicle and not having just been applied.

no sorry veece, there seems to be no supras in the auctions at themoment, but i do look everynight i assure you.

if peeps who are intrested in this , come and grab me at JAE i will explain the process, as i have decided to make it even cheaper for people to do it, under a new and very simple way

however, if we can try and do it once rather than me spending all JAE talking about importing cars

Not to worry - appreciate the help - won't have the cash until around September anyway.

Let me know if you come across any though, just to give me a rough idea of what I can expect for my money. :)

Thanks again.

Paul

Mat

Sent you a PM re: importing a car - not sure if you're unable to read email at the mo'. Am looking at purchasing a IS200/Altezza in the VERY near future and have a budget between 9-10k.

Problem is, as I'm car less, will struggle to make it to JAE this weekend - would appreciate any guidance on this matter.......

Cheers

Ant

PS - can't wait to join all you IS200 chaps - will be procuring a gold membership sometime soon as well!

Mat,

I've been looking for a UK-spec W 2000 or later IS200 SE.

Just joined the forums and saw your post about imports, so very interested.

Budget of £11k+, ideally silver or blue. SE or Sport models fine.

Can you help?

Daz
