Question ?

Hi guys im new here and new to Lexus, I have just bought a RX400H SE~L and while I was sat in the back I noticed four small LED like things on the middle door posts, between the drivers door and the read door ? they are both sides of the car and are visable when the doors are closed,anybody tell me what these are for ? thanks, oh and what a car this thing is !!!

No fella these are like four LED lights that are about 18" from the floor on the centre pillar between the front and back doors ? they are on both sides of the car ? they dont light up bright like LED lights do but are lit slightly in red ?

Also while im here how do I use the " B " feature/mode on the auto gear box ?

You select 'B' when you want to slow down. Suggest you try on the open road with no traffic so that you try to understand the degree of retardation you will get. The manual tells all.

I believe the lights are to do with the rear entertainment system that is fitted to the premium variant. I have seen a thread about them on this forum but can't remember when or title. Try a search on rear dvd.

Thanks mate that makes sense my car has the DVD with wireless Bluetooth headphones, I didnt think of that being a possibility. And I will give the " B " selection a go later

YEs... "B" is a bit like an artificial engine break

and the LEDs have something to do with the wireless headphones for the rear entertainment system

Welcome to the RX400H ........... As you say a great car. I use the "B" for long downhill descents when trying to stay inside the speed limit. Save braking all the way down the hill ....... It was very useful when I had a caravan on tow to save on brakes .... It works very effectively.

yes the wireless headphone use infrared. Two LEDs are for stereo channel a and the other two for stereo channel b
