Mudflaps

I'm thinking of having colour coded mudflaps on my car but I'm not sure wether to paint some plain black ones like the ones I already have or does anybody know where I can buy some already colour coded

hi chris,

i have painted mine and it looks fine, the only thing that you have to watch out for and i cant stress this enough !!!!! as the plastic is flexible and paint isnt, the paint will come right off , if when you are fitting them you happen to flex the mudguard a bit more than normal ggggrrrrr:mad: as i found out by mistake! take an extra 10 mins fitting them and you will be ok!

You can paint the mudflaps, just as you can plastic bumpers. The issue is not one of the final paint type. The important issue is that you use a two pack sytem with an etching primer. Without the etching primer, the paint will come right off as it flexes. Hope that helps.:smug:

or just get them painted properly by a body shop ...........using a plastisizer in the paint

I've just purchase some new mudflaps this morning plus all the material and paint

Managed to get a freind of a friend who is a sprayer to do them

Hi,

Any pictures of the Mudflaps? Are they JDM parts and I understand that it cannot be used with side skirt & rear bumper lip.

Any comments?

I've taken a brand new set of geniune Lexus accessory mudflaps and had them professionally sprayed

I'm sorry but I don't have access to a digital camera !

Because the mudflaps are contoured to the body of the car it is not possible to to fit them with body skirts
