Somebody Hacked My Computer!

Recommended Posts

Just had a call from a very charming BT employee who said my computer has be accessed by probably a criminal gang trying to gain my personal details and banking information, if I let him have access online to my computer he can put the firewall protocols in place to protect my computer from the threat, all I need is to pay the nominal fee of £30.......I said I had a cousin in Nigeria who is a Prince and for a nominal fee of £30 he could gain access to seized family funds of over £5,000,000......for this fee my friend could be the benificiary of 10% of the fortune..........wierd though, the guy from BT (must have been the Indian branch judging by his accent) lost the connection, shame he missed out on a golden opportunity.

That's weird, I've got a cousin in Nigeria who's a prince as well, but he said he'll do it for £25! Prince or no prince, he's ripping you off!

Well.....if you cannot trust the Nigerian side of the family, who can you trust? :innocent:

I've heard other horror stories about BT too -- incompetence, lots of upselling. Guess it's best to go directly to a trusted computer repair person, or find one if you haven't got one. As for these Nigerian prince scams, they come in a lot of forms and they manage to swindle a lot of people out of a ton of money. Not so funny, really, especially when BT is doing it or something like it.

We must be related then, i have a nigerian cousin who is a prince.

If you give me your bank details and passwords i will get him to wire you half my side of the fortune which as a related family member you are entitled to
