Basically the rear of my LS looks like this:

lexus_ls400_a1252657812b3020793_6_orig.j

and I want it to look like this:

35059d1058838782-2nd-gen-ls400-with-chro

is this an easy job to do

It seems that the early MK1 was quite similar and had pipes coming directly out the rear bumper but I own a MK4 and they come out under the rear bumper with a down turn on them

I've often thought how good that looks. I had a MK2 and they were similar to the picture you've posted. So I'll be interested to know if it can be done.

Clearly it CAN be done :P its just at what cost and what are the parts

Looks like in the second photo the person has used a dremmel to cut the bumper but I wonder where the part numbers came from for the chrome tips

I don't want it to be OTT I think that the second photo is tastefully done

Do the extending exhaust pipes now create an MOT issue . ......... brushing alongside and burns etc ! just a thought.

I think there are certain constraints as to how far they stick out.

If you look at my series II Celsior the car has the twin tailpipes but the part inbetween the 2 is a seperate piece which attaches under the bumper.

Plus it has the wider inner clusters.
