Perhaps Mark McArthur-Christie should get his facts right, they are still there on the M6...:P

Isn't it possible that your Origin Blue is showing them as being there because they were temporarily there for the roadworks and have since been removed.

Origin might have decided to err on the side of caution and not remove their presence from their database in case they re-appear (better to have a warning that they might exist rather than none at all)

Don't forget that alot of the traffic master detectors look like they might be speed cameras - but they aren't.

If the camera revenue goes to the local council, then it has to be obvious, but if it goes to the police then they dont.

No you can the ones on the Thelwall viaduct, you don't need a detector, theres a big orange sheet behind them

Yep all gps detectors suffer from that. Even though I update mine regularly it still beeps at camera's that were removed several weeks before at roadworks on the M11, M1 and M6. The database's do eventually get updated but it takes a few weeks.

And the hoaxers thought they'd get round that just by changing 'M4' to be 'M6'.
