  1. Nice! especially with the christmas lights as a finishing touch :zee:
  2. Just watching it at the moment and haven't seen it yet (Sky+ so watching it a bit behind as I paused it).
  3. Quite a lot of us have plates from fancyplates.com, they are mail order and don't request a copy of your registration documents. I guess they are also 'for show use', but I don't see an issue having them on the car as the plates themsevles have the correct fonts, spacing etc.
  4. That's what Lexus assistance did when I ran my battery down, they just jump started it and it was fine.
  5. Bad thing to do with a catalitic converter, unburnt fuel can get into it or something. Can you get a jump start from someone? Or call out the RAC?
  6. I think this is the dirtyest mine's been Doesn't happen very often as I normally wash the car at least once a week.
  7. Happy Birthday mate! Only 1hr 10mins left.
  8. Its in Non Car General Chat! Its good people can come here for any form of advice!
  9. In the Which reports the Dyson didn't perform any better than normal washing machines, it gave the same washing results. I have a Bosch, it was the top of the range when I bought it a few years back and I haven't had a single problem. The newer one's look very smart with fancy digital displays etc but that could also mean more to go wrong!
  10. These have been there for quite some time (my road angel has been warning me for months), but they are not active. They were set up to test the specs camera's and the police have said if they were to become active they will be put in a different location.
  11. The road angel comes with the laser attachment as standard. The bit that sticks on the windscreen here is the laser attachment:
  12. Radar detectors do give a lot of false warning's so I'm happy to be without it with the Road Angel. My old snooper drove me mad. The b2 with the add-on's is quite a lot of money, I only paid £340 for the Road Angel.
  13. I've seen one on the road and I thought the colour looked really nice!
  14. Most have Laser attachments, and some have Radar too. My Road Angel won't pick up mobile Gatso's unless its a registered location. It will pick up the laser camera's. The problem with laser though is that as soon as it warns you you've probably already been done.
  15. Looks like a Toyota badge on the steering wheel, and its an Altezza grill. It also looks like a Jap spec stereo (it doesn't have RDS). A bit of a cheek selling it as a Lexus IS200.
  16. Do you want a Radar detector or a GPS camera detector? I had a snooper 815 and was very unhappy with it, it gave false alarms all the time driving around towns and gave very little warning of Gatso's. I now have a Road Angel which is much better, never gives false alarms and plenty of notice of camera's. I've seen the Origin B2 and I'd definately look at that if I was buying one now.
  17. :D no worries for me either, I wondered why the record light was on at 7pm
  18. Proud to say I haven't watched a single episode! Just got home from the pub, would have stayed longer but for our crappy drinking laws
  19. Now its turned the 13th December, I just wanted to be the first to wish you Happy Birthday Steve!
  20. Have a look at this guys: http://www.iam.org.uk/Pressroom/News_Relea...ive/nr0115.html The Institute of Advanced Motorists recommends using all available lanes until the restriction. To quote "In our view, the sensible advice for all lane merging situations is that drivers should reduce their speed and increase the gap between themselves and the vehicle in front. All available lanes should be used right up to where the lane closure begins and vehicles should merge in turn - one from the left, one from the right, and so on."
  21. Google has a good calculator built in, type the following into google: '1 gallon in litres' It returns: 1 US gallon = 3.7854118 litres And '1 imperial gallon in litres' returns: 1 Imperial gallon = 4.54609188 litres Just in case you wanted to know anything similar!
  22. Happy Birthday mate, didn't realise your birthday was so near Christmas, could of sworn it was in august! :iraqi-info-minister:
