  1. Good morning sir, can i help ? Yes, i'd like to buy that yellow IS200. Certainly sir, that'll be about 23 grand please. OK, here you go < hands over cash > Now sir, if you'd like to wait 3 months please.... You see we have lots of people who'd like to come and crawl all over it, let their kids wreck it with sticky lollies etc before we'll allow you to have it. Errr, excuse me ?? HELLO .. i said i'd like to buy a car ... is anyone listening Pah, stuff that ... Tell them you take it NOW or you buy elsewhere ... Norwich you say... tell them you'll buy one from Ipswich :D
  2. Can the wheels not be replaced under warranty ?? Maybe they don't do it south of the border ... If so, a trip north could possibly be beneficial :) We have a europe wide warranty after all.
  3. Ha Ha LOL :D :D Damn it's mid morning and i STILL can't get it right
  4. wanna bet don't worry too much about securing the pipe - secure the disks. WEP encryption can be broken in about 15 minutes (airsnort only needs about a sample of about 2 million packets) your MAC address is broadcast in every packet, in plain text - any packet sniffer can grab that in a jiffy. Frequency hopping spread spectrum might help. If you can afford it :))
  5. Yes there was that one ... The one i'm referring to was a Lexus / Bridgestone thing. It was all over the US forum i was reading at the time for ages. Sadly i can't even remember which forums they were :D Clublexus possibly but i can't see anything there that far back now.
  6. Interesting. Was it the Bridgestone Potenzas that they changed? What was the fault - was it similar to the one I've described? Gareth Yes it was the Bridgestones they replaced. I'm not sure what the problem with the single ply sidewall ones was ... Just know they swapped them out for twin ply sidewall ones. I think they did it in Oz too. Maybe a heat related problem ?
  7. In America, they did a HUGE recall to change the tyres. Swapped single ply sidewall for versions with twin ply.
  8. Bbbbuuurrrrrpppppp My face was so stuffed, it stretched my eyes to the point where i was seeing double Yes Mat knows - listen to him ... 1 chap did most of it but another on hand to help. That steak was particularly yummy :P
  9. Didn't Raj say he'd had RSi type problems from continually making sandwiches ? Or was that from permanently strangling his wifes cat Maybe he has a suggestion ... or his mate professor leibstrom - you know, George W's special advisor Of course you could always try using windoze. Enforced rest breaks while it hangs / crashes / reloads etc serious I hope it's not too painful for you and gets better /serious Still PML :D :D :D :D
  10. Ha Ha ... my last post almost sounds like i'm being serious :D :D :D No No, stop hitting me.... You should get one of those headbands with a finger like prodder hanging off the front. Then you could type while leaving your hands free for 'other jobs' ROTFLMFAO :D :D
  11. Firstly i think everyone's being very cruel and insensitive ... This should be a serious subject - could be very painful for you ... You might wanna contact your local Health and Safety Executive. They're bound to have info on how best to avoid the RSi. I hope it's not gone past the stage where the pain can be alleviated ...
  12. Hmmm ... I've thought about adding that induction kit - BUT... damn that engine looks an ar5e when it's naked Really could use a nice cover over the cyl head etc. Why are tuning and aesthetics so often mutually exclusive ?? Oh yes - and then the price of it :) I know R+D and carbon fibre are expensive ... but OUCH :D
  13. Idea of Steve 'bashing out' suddenly makes this less attractive   Sounds like a good trip ... Not done stateside before - could well be tempted. Oh by the way, I'm LOL @ admins 'virtual playa' :D :D Pure class :P
  14. Had S02's on my turbo mr2 - 7000miles = bye bye 235/40x17 's £300 a pair (at the time) up in smoke - literally on occassion Damn that car was crazy fast - good fun 'til local magistrates put a dampener on things So yes, not expecting S03's to last as long as RE040's but i read they outlive S02's. Maybe if they wear out quick, it'll be a good excuse for some new wheels ... Now, where's that bottle of bleach
  15. Mine was new in June 2001 with Bridgestone RE040's. Replaced the lot recently .. Bridgestone again but this time S03's
  16. Just for info ... Tyres ARE warranted, but only against manufacturing defects etc. Obviously tearing them apart on kerbs or potholes doesn't count as a 'defect'
  17. I think your first worry will be getting the car legal to drive in britain. Not as easy as it used to be ...
  18. I don't understand this armrest business ... With both hands on the steering wheel, my arms wouldn't reach it :D :P :D :P
  19. There's an accessory in the mainland european brochure which may be of use. Fits in the spare wheel and includes a fuel container.
  20. I'm with you PJ on not really wanting F+F looking tail and remain classy ... I think when the time comes, i'll probably look at the TTE tailbox. I suspect it may be made for TTE by Remus but don't hold me to that. Nothing against the HKS boxes, they are superbly finished and look mean. ( Had a Trust BL Power Extreme on my MR2 which was similar ... and AWESOME ) I just think i'd like to remain a little more discreet with this car ... Hmmm, i think i may be exhibiting geriatric tendencies here - Yikes
  21. Hmmm, well i'm obviously suffering more from fri arvo. tadts has me beat for the mo ...
  22. Switch the lights off - Don't wanna be adversely affecting them tunes ...
