Could have been different types.
Seem to remember they have 2 types, different colours I think, Pink or Red if my memory is still there ...
One is 'long life' the other is 'for life'.
So maybe not such a great big mystery

If memory serves the DOT3, DOT4 and DOT5.1 are all compatible mineral fluids.
DOT5 is the synthetic fluid which I think was best not to be mixed with the others.

That caught my eye in the pic too. Reminded me of a few years ago I was supposedly trialling a manifold for a local firm which was similar.
That one also had probs with O2 sensor positioning (or lack of) which caused the check engine light.
They just tried to get away with denting the pipework to increase clearance from steering column ... and claim it was a manifold they'd developed.
I suggested they were spouting bull and why not say they just bought it from a LHD market abroad.
Got them to take it off and put on a decatted standard manifold I'd got hold of instead. No probs after that ...
Apologies for the slightly off topic nature of this bit ...
Look forward to hearing your joyous news when the weather finally permits some fun drives with the new toy

Is there any chance of a set like Wozza has (ie. with the TTE logo bits) but for a manual car ?
Mine's a 2001 SE and just been and checked my warning lights are in the same order as his.

I've done that too recently after the short shift was fitted.
Went a bit too far over when aiming for 1st. Found going for 2nd then 1st did the trick.
Short shift regreased and settled down now so all ok.

Sure I've read on here before about the Grom adapter not working with the early head units 13902 mentioned in particular.
Think the check made at the time was whether the CD slot is at the top or bottom of the front panel.
Mines a 13903 and not sure if that one's OK either.
Good luck.

I bought some of those 25LED ones that Chris suggested at the beginning.
Looking at the purchases of that item seems that you did too, and so did 84stoney.
They look slightly Whiter (certainly not Blue) than HID kit recently fitted to my car (labelled as 4500k on the box & 4300k on each lamp container).
As a result I'd assumed these LED's were pretty much a match for 6000k as others have already said.

Close :) Under both headlights bonded not drilled.
On left side there's just enough room for the ballast to sit between top of washer bottle and underside of headlamp.
Right side there's a cavern like space under the light so plenty of room.

I've got a pair of headlights going spare if you want them.
Not new but not broken either - were on my car until a couple of weeks ago when I got them changed for the later model dark interior ones.
Looking for about 50 quid the pair plus some postage.

Think those are the 'Trilock' type of nuts.
The pegs/holes vary in position so you'd need to get the right key for your set.
I've got a complete set kicking about if you'd like to buy those for a tenner plus something towards P+P.
Box / nuts / key / plastic thingy to get the nut covers off / piece of card with key no. etc on.
They were on my standard 17" IS200 wheels.
Any help ?

Mine is this one (think Johnboy took this picture - cheers mate ...)
Was only there on Friday so might not have seen it.
Surprised to get a mention .... but thank you very much all the same ...

This got me curious so just been and checked all 3 of my keys (2 x 3 button & 1 x 2 button).
Had them all since car was new.
And all 3 act the same - security light goes off when key inserted into ignition.
So seems i'm well burdened with master keys...
Yippee

Here's a link to the tidal info on the mersea web site for those interested ....
Indicates how likely the road onto the island is to be completely submerged.
VERY likely for Sat + Sun. So for about an hour around the times John posted.

Hope that's useful..
