  1. that information is actually wrong. I have emailed autoexpress on thursday and await their reply! the satnav systems in the IS (2nd gen) do have a postcode search facility..4 digit search. then you choose the street name that comes under that postacode, if you wish to use it that way. i cant imagine post-codes changing much if at all, but then again i dont work at royal mail :)
  2. on the motorway n a/b roads im sure that will be much higher. considering i get around 33-36 atleast on the motorway treks on a manual.
  3. dont see anything re recalls on the vosa website...mite ask lex birmingham who are going to look at my car anyways.
  4. did my ole is200se in this: pretty sure it was called anthracite..was done in birmingham
  5. anymore comments? 21 have downloaded but only steve has replied :)
  6. have already tried that brake dust tsib with lexus covenrtry. but like everything else with them "there isnt a problem"
  7. thought u meant i was doing something wrong. i think i know the noise you are on about..that happened when i was like turning round corners etc n lexus coventry removed the 2 bolts under the seats which stopped it. this just happens whenever i move in my seat i.e. get in car, get out of car, accelerate, brake, go over speed bumps etc etc. have demo'd it to cov so dont know why they cant sort it.
  8. forcing what? if i move back or away from the seat thats what it makes
  9. good way to do it is ring another dealer and tell them what deal another dealer is doing for you and if they can. If they do/can go back to your original one and tell them what you've got on the table. If new dealer can't then go to your current dealer anyhow and tell them the deal looks good but if you can throw in 2 services in the deal you have my deposit on the phone right now.
  10. recorded the sound my seat makes. have a listen..just in plain .wav format. let me know what you guys think. normal or not? Sound_clip_03.wav Sound_clip_04.wav
  11. autoexpress had a article on buying online from sites likes buyacar.co.uk etc etc. im pretty sure if it is stated on the site they will honour it. its not just a made up site with made up figures. and looks like your dealer is just trying to "con" you into using him than the website to get the business and his bonus/sales targets. try and wait for a bit and deal with him, or ring another dealer and see what the offer. shop around before you stick to any deal. try drivethedeal.com too. for a is250 se-l/auto/MM they quote £29071.08, a saving of £3691.41 according to them from dealer listed price. not sure about finance options with them tho.
  12. also find the brake dust quite excessive on my is250 even tho use engine braking where poss. will complain to lexus gb when my current ordeal with them is over :)
  13. ah i'm sure when i skimmed through it it said march :)
  14. whats the outcome? or whats happened since? did that meet at lex gb go ahead??
  15. it sounds like its blown. but its been like that for ages and its not continuosly there. was there alot of the time, nearly 95%, then they changed the door guard/handle and its reduced now. but still pops up now and again. so sounds like something is vibrating in there or something. coz thats what they said when they looked at it, and said the door guard was vibrating causing it. (which brings me to my other point, in them saying there is nothing wrong with it, if there wasnt why did they change the guard. it obviously has partly solved the issue, but not fully). and its not my cds or anything, coz it comes up with the radio too. its manual. the gearbox thing just started few days ago. the satnav..wherever i start the car off from. so not just one place. i have had my wheels changed from 17" oem to the 18" hoshi wheels. i've done the tyre alignment thing in the "menu" part of the display and also have corrected the position of the car several times on the orther option there for alignment, but it still is wrong whever i initially start the car. and this wasnt always the case. just recently. didnt know there was something else in the hidden menu? have demonstrated the seats and speakers to lexus coventry. havent had a chance to demonstrate the others because they wont take the car in now. and about demonstrating the speakers to lexus birmingham, it will be a problem because its not always there?!? thats what i'm planning on doing too regarding birmingham. and also maybe autoexpress/trading standards/LFS/FSA.
  16. still the same ones: 1 - air vent rattle front left 2 - speaker sounds like its popped 3 - seat belt tensioner drivers side rattle 4 - drivers seat squeaks alot- where drivers back touches seat (not base of seat) new ones: 1 - gear box seems to vibrate alot now to the extent it makes noise (mainly in 6th gear) 2 - the sat nav seems to wonder off its current position (just for the initial 2 minutes tho?)
  17. still not a very good response from Coventry or GB. here are all emails...tell me what you think. sent on 19th of march by Lexus coventry dealer principal, tim huxley (1st reply): sent on 19th of march by Lexus coventry dealer principal, tim huxley (2nd reply): sent on 19th of march by Lexus coventry dealer principal, tim huxley (3rd reply): sent by lexus GB on 4th april to the email I sent on 19th march (1st reply): look alot like tim's?? called her after that. and this is reply I have now: so...?? any ideas? i have sent a email back again..and maybe should speak to this regional manager myself? i think this is a pure joke.
  18. how many millions have u had? :) why work?:)
