    changed mine to t1-r's as well when i upgrade from the OEM 17" to the hoshi 18". ride and noise is much better IMHO.

    same issue on mine..luckily it happened when the service manager was in the car with me trying to listen for the passenger air vent rattle (which never happened when he was in the car:( ), so the car is goin in for that to be sorted on monday. like u all have said, its not always there. just sometimes. that was the first time i heard it, when he was in the car too...strange!!

    i do: wash/rinse/dry claybar (meguairs) paint cleanser (p21) Car-Lack 68 Nano Systematic Care Car-Lack 68 Long Life Sealant p21 wax (tho mite switch to collinite when this tub is finished) is that reasonable?

    no dealer would prolly match exactly what DTD offers, but you could use that a haggling tool to bring the price down. speak to GaryC who i believe did the same. the economic climate is hard now, and every dealer will want you to purchase a car from them even if it means reducing their prices/throwin more in the deal as they are still making a profit at the end. if your dealer wont budge go to another one if you are happy doing so.

    easiest thing to do is get someone to sit at the back while u driving and see/try pressing any bits where it seems like the noise is coming from n see if it stops it. seems like my passenger air vent rattle is only in the cooler weather like original poster of this topic mentioned as past fewdays i havent noticed it. still think it shouldnt be there cold or hot.

    can agree with u and gary on rattles. the one thing that annoys me completely. ive expereinced the air vent rattle u are talking about (so has jamboo, think he has got it replaced). also the gear gator rattling (only notice it on 6th gear on mine). i have kept a log of everytime i hear the rattle (gear, speed, temp inside and outside, passenger -yes/no, wet/dry road, location) and will give that to the dealer when i go in next when he sorts the other problems out.

    guess it depends on certain issues that i dont know :) but those proxes r32 are made/designed for the new gen IS. not sure if it is dependant on when it was made etc

    I agree in full. If I´m not mistaken, are there not brakes that emit less dust for Lexus? I know I have seen them on the net but I can´t remember where. Perhaps someone else...? /jalfa believe thats for the US..they have a TSIB and new type of pads

    would the paint job finish be like painting any other parts of the car? i.e. panels/spoilers etc? am i right in guessing the parts are "plastic"??

    AFAIK flaps are in two colours available - plastic black and white (80GBP front and rear set) which can be easily painted any colour you want. My are not painted and match cadoxton perfectly, work fine with velvet black as well. anyone got any pics of 2nd gen is with mudflaps in a color other than black? do u know if lexus could paint the white mudflaps to the same color as my car n would the paint "last on it"?

    Hi Jamboo Thought I'd let you know how I'm doing with my new motor 1 week in. I've not actually had a long run on the motorway yet but 3 return trips to Grantham & I'm averaging 48.8mpg, which is a vast improvement on the 31 I was achieving at the end! The last week of owning the IS was quite worrying as it began showing signs of breaking down again (serious turbo lag, juddering!) but it didn't. I must admit to laughing when I received the recall 2 days after it was collected!! is that 48.8 on ur 320d? jamboo: have they fitted the new vents? has it stopped any rattles?

    had the same noise in my is200se 03 plate. lexus coventry replaced shock absorbers then said it was the "calipers moving" or something of that sort and said its normal. dont think it is/was.

    out of curiousty which dealer is it? PM if you dont want to publicize it atm. before you seek legal advice/lexus GB advice go to the DP that u already have a "relationship" with.

    AFAIK you need to lock manually? not sure if it auto-locks after acertain period. dont think itdoes

    just looked at that vid. and on his rear-view mirror looks like theres some writing in green which looks like itsays "NE" or something. anyone know what it is?
