  1. Lexus Nottingham had one in white when I was there last weekend...
  2. I can't stand Lexus Leicester. Their arrogance in both sales and service just winds me up! I only live 3 miles from them yet my RX and her IS both go to Lexus Nottingham as they are LEAGUES ahead! Stay clear of 'em...
  3. I was told recently that these have 4WD. Is this true?? If so, how have you got on in the snow? I'm presuming the low-profile rubber would have been little use in this weather - but I stand to be corrected! Ta, Noman
  4. I too am a Muslim and agree with you peeps. It annoys me MASSIVELY that these few idiots spoil it for the rest of us normal folk :( At least on here we can all follow the mighty "L"exus badge :)
  5. Don't bother matey - they WILL go again :( Get some el-cheapo black ones.
  6. Nope...but I recently had some Kumho KL51's fitted to mine! Superb tyres IMO. Liked Kumho's that much had some KU31's fitted to the IS200 the Mrs has! All via Blackcircles by the way...
  7. Sounds like they just need a good clean using non-acidic wheel cleaner... I use this but this stuff is also great. Try it out when you get a chance :)
  8. Couple of things if I were buying this: 1). If the car is on a 07 plate I would have thought it came with the original Lexus (3 year) warranty. IMO a good warranty is a MUST have. These are complicated cars and well worth going for the extended (Lexus) warranty option as well. 2). Sounds a bit dodge if no service has been done for the past two service points. Not sure where you would stand warranty wise if anything came up. 3). Service pack - I saved quite a bit by buying one. Give your local dealer a call and find out how much it would cost to get one. You mention a missing shelf - do you mean the retractable cover? I'm sure I saw one being sold on the 'bay recently. Keep an eye out for cars being dismantled becuase £700 sounds rather steep! I love my RX. Best car i've owned in a long time and would definately recommend it. Hope it all works out!
  9. I bought one from Lexus Nottingham - in fact I bought two! One for the IS and one for the RX! Massively pleased with both the dealer and the cost savings. Glad I took IHPJ's advice :) I too was a little worried about what would happen if something happened to the dealer which is why I decided to pay by credit card. I checked this with my credit card company and if the worst should happen I get my money back!
  10. 21% discount?! That's a stunning discount!!!! I'm presuming this is via a car broker??
  11. Hi Adam, For MP3/iPod duties I installed a Grom audio adapter. Check out my post here. Other solutions (e.g. VAIS) offer a more integrated experience but this was quite a bit cheaper and suited me just fine :) Ta, Noman
  12. Glad it's getting sorted. I was going to suggest paying the diagnosis fee so it's good another garage did it free. Fingers crossed for today :)
  13. Agree. I used some of this and a Meguiars G220 and the lights came up brilliantly! Even used it on the rears, fogs, etc. It made a world of difference! Glad your method worked too :)
  14. Time to replace the fronts on the IS200 and seen these for sale at Camskills for £54.10 each (plus p+p)... Would be great to hear from anyone currently running on these - especially as the other options are Toyo T1-Rs or the Falken 452s. Cheers guys! Noman
  15. Liking this. It's the sport model correct?? I would love to change to one of those new E Class Coupe's next time...
  16. OMG! That is WELL nasty! (Apologies by the way. 20seconds after posting I realised the number at the end of the link was the item number)
  17. If it helps, a couple weeks back Lexus Leicester had a few going for around £40k...
  18. I was going to go down the Bridgestone Potenza route when a couple of friends suggested I give the Kumho KL51's a go. I now have these on the rear and shall be very soon be putting them on the front as well. I managed to get the 51's for a shade under £100. I got them from a place in Leicester so if you want to make a trip this way let me know and i'll dig up their details. Ta.
  19. B) Stunning car matey! Wasn't too sure about that colour before but looks FANTASTIC...and the interior and wood work REALLY well! Many congrats once again.
  20. Welcome to LOC matey! Recommend the "Gold" thing - could save you a few bob on all the "extras" you may now be tempted with ;)
  21. DOH! I recognised the alloys...but couldn't find one that was auto AND had that kind of interior! Anyway, cheers for the quick reply!
  22. So the Mrs was hit from behind the other day while waiting at a roundabout in her IS200 :tsktsk: Thankfully no one was hurt and the car escaped with a dented bumper. Nothing broken so I thought nice and easy (and cheap!) fix. Wrong. Something had been pushed into the boot floor which caused Lexus Leicester to quote a 2k bill! Luckily the chap (after MUCH shouting and MANY expletives at the scene) admitted liability. Next stop the Lexus accident recovery scheme... Haven't used one of these services before but before you know it they had delivered an 08 plate IS250. I'm usually quite good at such things but for the life of me I can't figure out which model it is! The spec is as follows: IS250 Auto Sat Nav (mark levinson, etc.) Smoked chrome (i think!) sport alloys Xenons heated seats (and here's the confusing thing) black suede-esque (similar to the first gen IS200's Escane) interior I've done some Autotrader and Lexus Approved searches but all the cars returned have leather or fabric but NOT this interior! Help! It's driving me nuts not knowing - mainly because I like the car and would love to get one in the future! Ta, Noman
