  1. How much ? :duh: You really don't need to spend anything like that much for a cambelt change and 80K service.
  2. When you say you can afford it "at the end", when do you mean exactly ? You're not allowed to drive your car with no tax. You can go in and get it at the post office on the day it expires if you like. Or you can buy it online then, and if it takes a couple of days ago it won't matter, because you'll be on the computers as having valid tax.
  3. There's one here which has been reduced to £5,700.
  4. Just wondering if I could do something to help, since ToyotaGT are near to me. Sorry if I'm being thick here, but can't you get the car back to your house to fix it ? Can you not drive it just a short way ? Or tow it or something (I realise you said you don't have your other car) ?
  5. Where is the car, is it with you now and not ToyotaGT ?
  6. Are these simply plug & play? Yep, just takes a few seconds to swap them. Thanks. Dome light is 269/Festoon 31mm, I got a 36-LED light like this one. Map light is BA9S, I used a 6-LED light like this. Sun visor lights are 31mm fuse bulbs, like this. With all of these, you will find lots of alternatives on eBay. I'm not saying these are "the best", just what I'm using.
  7. Argh, bummer. What about the one that Marcus offered you ?
  8. They should do in theory. Bear in mind though that the supplied tyres will be very cheap ones.
  9. Did the swap for LEDs in the sun visor just now. This is the LED used : And here's a pic with the LED on the left, and OEM bulb on the right :
  10. This only happens when you've switched the lights on, right ? If so, then it sounds like a loose wire. Try wiggling the wires/connections when it's turned on and see if you can see where the problem is.
  11. ok, good, but we still need the error code(s) to be able to help you properly.
  12. 89465-53040 As Stav said, have a look on eBay, will be a lot cheaper than a dealer.
  13. Thanks, I didn't get that bit, just the news leaflet thingy. Just sounds like a change to the postal address and an administrative change to me, it's the Lexus brand that's being marketed.
  14. I think the TRD gauge pod points straight ahead, think it was the carbon replicas that pointed towards a LHD driver. L-Tuned will search for second-hand parts for you if you ask them though, and you might get lucky, who knows ? :winky:
  15. I think you should ask Autosmart for some commission for Tyre Dandy sales Chris, I bought some on your recommendation and I think dozens of us on here probably have !
  16. Why don't you come along to the upcoming Grasshopper meet ? DJ Wozza will be there and you can take a look at his reversing camera install, and I'm sure you'll see that it's not that difficult :winky:
  17. No, they don't have a chain, they have a belt and if it snaps it will cause expensive engine damage (it is an "interference" engine on the IS200). The original schedule for cam belt change was 100,000 miles, but Lexus revised that down to 60,000 miles (or 6 years). It's easy to take the cam cover off slightly to have a look at the belt, to see what sort of state it's in. There's a guide on how to change the cam belt over in the Workshop section, with pictures.
  18. ok, cool. The full part number is in the right-hand table, i.e. 72693-20060, that's the number you'll need to give to Lexus/Toyota. Yeah it should only be about a pound. If you're lucky you might even be able to persuade a dealer to post it to you, if that will save a trip.
  19. Hmm, so you've bought a new black car, and a while back you admitted to having KITT lights on an old car some time back ...
  20. There's more on how to use Bilt-Hamber's Auto-clay on their website here, including a downloadable PDF about it. One big advantage of Auto-clay versus other competing products is that you can just use regular water as a lubricant for the clay. Most other clays require you to use something special, e.g. some sort of spray in a bottle that you have to buy.
