  1. Mine looked like that when I bought it, the needle didn't go all the way back to the top when I brimmed the tank though?
  2. Head to Head :winky: You know it
  3. Turbo should be back on today!! I am letting James at TGT drive a good few miles in it, as an extended shake down test, we don't want a repeat of this little annoyance. I think the tuner will also have another run in it to double check the maps now the car has been run in. Can't wait to get her back.
  4. Your problem is the standard internals are made from toffee.... No matter how you generate boost you run the risk of bending them without uprating the rods etc. The other usual tuning routes aren't worth much real BHP and cost many £'s for relatively little gain. £ for £ engine swap comes out on top if you want 300+ BHP IMHO. Supra engines are massive and heavy but one of the best engines ever made and will deliver more power than you will ever need, Stavs 1G GTE swap works well and it isn't that much more weight than the standard one so I assume the handling isn't affected massively, and mine handles more like a powerful Altezza with my 3S GTE conversion, but isn't as smooth as it is a 4 cyl not a 6 cyl. It will also cost £7K depending on your specification requests. Come to Santa Pod in 2 weeks and see the options available?
  5. It will feel like a different car. Remember to get the GEO done as lowering will of course adversely affect the Geo and you won't get the full benefit of the mods, until the Geo is done.
  6. I do like the body kit. but 600+ BHP thats just mental.
  7. About £350 to £450 new mate, you might get a price of prolex web site. for a used one, broken one - if it even gets sent to the right place.
  8. At least its not a BMW or other euro clone mobile. I am sure it will shine very soon.
  9. Well I don't believe in working on my own car :D Update: Diff and Axels replaced to Altezza RS200 LSD (4.1:1). Should make it quicker off the line B) Stereo (amps etc) now fitted Tacho converter should be on sometime this week, it only arrived from the USA yesterday. turbo not back from repair yet (as of yesterday) :tsktsk: bank holidays.
  10. So far only 3 confirmed and paid, :o need more !! you sign up for track when you get there You have PM, will pay as soon as I know who and how much.
  11. That didn't take long to ask!! Stereo fitted LSD fitted (RS200 one) Tacho conversion module arrived from the states yesterday so should be in soon turbo not back from repair as of yesterday. I can't get down there till Tuesday next week so should with luck pick it back up then.
  12. Just back from a Nile cruise in Egypt, what a fantastic place!! We thought the ruins would be your usual trash but the place is simply amazing words just cant do justice to the quality and quantity of the temples and tomb's. Weather was about 40 - 42C in the afternoon and dropped to 20 - 25C in the evening, never have I felt heat like it. We went camel riding and had the opportunity to hold a baby crocodile and of course visited temples and the valley of the kings. It is so hard to imagen the hardships of building these monuments and temples, then add forced labour and the intense heat of the desert. It must have been literally hell on earth. If you want a fascinating holiday then I can't recommend Egypt enough. OK there are downsides like the constant throng of people trying to beg or sell you something but you get used to it and learn to ignore them fairly quickly. At one point the ship was surrounded by people trying to sell clothing by throwing it on to the deck and haggling over the price, most people just threw the goods back at them, but a few things were sold by throwing the money back at them in a little plastic bag with a float in it!!
  13. Nice work Fargo. 10 hours well spent!!
  14. Love them cars. Clarkson said it is one of the best engines ever!! Have to agree with him, we only got the German car because the wife hates thrashing cars to get them to go.
  15. Sounds interesting. How are sound off's judged. Assuming there are different classes, for different budgets. Is it down to a judges individual appreciation for what a system sounds like, or is it more technical than that? Plainly the boring class would be how many Decibels a car can create, a DB meter would be used how would the sound quality be judged?
  16. Busy boys at TGT. Could do with a little more tread on the tyres for the MOT
  17. This was the fault that my SAAB had. It turned out to be the gear selection control system (solenoid block) and not the fluid. Unfortunately that meant a new gearbox (because of the damage) and hydraulic control system (to correct the problem). That was a Asian Warner 'box.
  18. Its a hybrid, meaning it spools up quicker and allows more headroom for boost, also it has a steel shaft rather than the ceramic one that MR2's normally get, again to allow more boost. Only the later UK Spec GT4's had steel tubbys as standard AFAIK.
  19. No idea how mine will get through, no cats and high boost, just have to unplug a few injectors
  20. yea its :tsktsk: and back at the turbo builders. I'm just about to jet off to Egypt, so to be honest not really bothered until I get back to the UK, when it should all be done and dusted and properly tuned as it is booked in with the tuner again after the re-build of the tubby.
