if it's passed the MOT then it will be ok and the police will have to accept that official status ( surely ? ) ....... otherwise the police are chasing a red herring up the greasy pole and WASTING POLICE TIME .............. which is possibly a Criminal Offence in itself ? and if they catch the red herring they can eat it no doubt .... provided they have the respective Licence from DEFRA ? to catch fish Malc

welcome to the Forum tiago . someone with knowledge of air struts on a Ls400 will come to your assistance quite soon . it's quite rare and unusual I've always had conventional set-ups and the springs do sometimes crack and need replacing Air sometimes causes issues and can be expensive to fix but at 50k miles, well, that's a very low mileage for a Ls400 BUT at 24 years old who knows what age related issues can appear " out of the blue " someone will be along soon I'm sure to give you sound advice Best wishes Malc

thought I'd just update here a little ........... since this above post ..... actually recruited one brilliant guy who can't find a more local better role . and he def can't work from home, too many kids etc ........ and he lives a 40km 2.5hr drive from my office . even leaving finishing work at 11.30 at night it's still a 2.5hr drive home for him As some of you might know, in Delhi delivery trucks are banned until ( I think ) 10.30pm at nighttime to avoid the car congestion .. creates it's own mayhem . and yes, a 40km drive in Delhi at any time is a usual nightmmare Malc

unless the mark-up from the garage doing the job is multi times that cost just for the parts ........... be interested to understand what Lexus main dealer would charge ..... if indeed they would be prepared to even do the job for their customer I think this is a rhetorical Q . I doubt a main dealer would want to get involved, just pass it out to their local " provider " and add £200 on top for their commission possibly Malc

well, there you have summed up very simply what our politicians are all about ( in general ) ........... pretty stupid I was reading that Germany has said quite emphatically that they will not abide by the EU rules on banning petrol / diesel new sales from 2030 So we go to Germany, buy our brand new cars and simply drive them in the UK ..... ok ? not really at all . just an old fashioned 2 bed house in a Kentish High Street backing onto the Town Quay and many houses around me Grade11 Listed but for some reason, thankfully, mine escaped that stigma .... they weren't Listed when Nelson lived along from me I'll warrant Malc

James, notwithstanding all your codes stuff just tell us how it is now: is she driving well with good accelleration and power in PWR mode especially ? Has she had a good hard blow-out along the motorway, uphills too ? Is she performing well generally ? Malc
