yesterday God Bless'em ... Motor & Home absolutely diligent brilliant service and very competitive quote too from someone working really really hard to get me into the fold with my existing Home/House insurance ... by far the best and with Royal Sun as the " back stop " ... on my @400 year old pad NOW my Honda Legend car insurance due 1st August and Saga arrive at £447.18 fully comp etc . all the bells and whistles . So M&H beat this down to £426 . bartering with Saga gets them down to £421 then i go for the jugular with Saga and they finally capitulate at £387.18 .......... so I booked with them . they have my Lexus insured too of course and want me to buy ........ Home Insce Equity Release Travel Insce Health Insce .............. with no hope at all on any of the above i know Ain't this all a dreadful pullava eh ! blooooody hour on the phone to save £60 ........... why oh why could'nt the price have been more sensible at their first shot I detest this annual ( twice ) bother every time Malc

I'm thinking there's a similar named in the Irish Republic that I traversed a few years back ..... wonderful driving there especially ... and in my purring along V8 too and I must admit seeing the Norwegian fjords from the luxury of a Fred Olsen ship in times past which is quite astonishing too ........ Fred being Norwegian AND knowing he needs to use smaller ships to get into and around the fjords for best customer experience too I s'pose an amphibious EV would give the best of both viewpoints .. from land and sea and making sure there were zero emissions from those sodding cruise liner engines ......... size is ? I wonder .......... Malc

I'm quite flabbergasted that people are content to pay for their cars in this way . never ending ....... and the impact that must be having for future values and prices when on-sold to another .. not just in the UK or the western world .......... but the huge marketplace for dead and dying, but serviceable car models throughout Asia and Africa not sure where the final resting places will be for these new electronic controlled marques / models except for the SCRAPPER with negligible value coz they will be unusable beasts for sure I see very many older cars, vans, trucks etc queued-up for export from Sheerness docks on Sheppey, Kent where I live ..... these vehicles have another life somewhere for sure .. future high tech cars ..... on subscription, just won't maybe Malc

when I contacted a local and renowned auto electrician about my Ls400 he did me the courtesy of simply just ignoring me ........ as did others ... apart from one ordinary auto guy that also did electricals and he advised me that he just didn't know what on earth he could do to help me I have a strong feeling that these " experts " in many instances just really haven't a clue Hope you have much better luck than me for sure Malc

covering your posterior . how preposterously impossible ........ in summer Malc

and you conveniently totally ignore, purposefully, the harm and irretrievable damage you're doing to the environment by continuing to pump out noxious fumes in your pursuit of " appreciating in value " of your harm rendering toxic mode of irresponsible transport 😈 Luckily i do jest BUT I can see someone or other might just agree with my silly irresponsible comment above .... being a true advocate of purring along 4ltr V8 petrol engineering ... probably until the day I can no longer afford the usuary prices of petrol Malc

in my 2006 Honda Legend I also have cooling seats too ..... does Lexii etc not have those too ? Malc

a changing world methinks .......... the youngsters of today will know no different as time passes ............. and as with EVs and charging points and black boxes insurers have in cars . an individual's independence will be a long forlorn wish and it's starting to happen right now in our Western World and, dare I say it ............. in our understanding of freedom and democracy Malc

for me it's 22 years and since age 17, some 40% of my driving life .. ain't I the lucky one eh ! Malc update on my " wish " for a 1965 S3 Bentley ... just been let down by a garage that was advertising on CarandClassics a 1965 S3 Rolls Royce at £27.5k ........... just emailed and told me Deposit Taken and all that, so I really really doubt one's going to drop into my lap anytime soon .......... maybe I'll just fine fettle my old gal a little more
-
and you have a drive-thru' wash next to her too Malc

mine at 239k miles has plenty of that rust " look-a-like " staining on the underside bits and bobs but coupled with a smudge of oily residuey stuff from wherever the stuff exudes from the oily bits of my car ...... and sadly, actual real rust now protruding on that rear N/S wing .........edges ............ bug-ger ............ at least the wheels should be looking pristine like new tomorrow when I collect her from the refurbishment guys ......... then I'll think about popping her along to a bodyshop to " fix " the N/S wing blemishes ftb ..... those sodding moths are at long last being released from my wallet . aaagggghhhhh BUT my old gals had a good life and long may she continue in fine fettle ( more or less ) She did one fine day look like the lady in the video .... but that was nigh on 27 years past ..... and I still have the torch ! Really little point having an amazing Lexus Ls400 unless one's going to get max benefit from her when one can Malc

that's possibly a reason why my 1932 Triumph is now one of only 8 remaining worldwide ..... and no-one will really want them either methinks ... only us old diehards and well, we will eventually pass and the Ls400 will be a novelty, the one or two remaining ......... .............. and my stockpile of the last 1153 cars in the UK tucked up in storage somewhere Malc

yes of course ..... we all are here ....... don't you think ? An elite bunch of Lurrrrrrr ....... and the buttery expensive spread hasn't got the " c " in the spelling either ........ has it Malc
-
no price guide tho ........... Malc
-
nope..... it's a pack of Lurpak , NOT a pack of Lurpacks ............. Lurrrr is a fishy smell too or a fishy motion .............wagging fin like thru' the water ..... if it's not it could be of course .... 'bout time we invented summat NEW for the Oxford English Dictionary Malc

I s'pose I'm thinking relative potential future value of a " car holding investment " in these straightened times with inflation at maybe 10% and the return on invested cash in a bank at a negligible ...... say 0.1% thru' to the heady heights of say 1.5% ..... .............. there's an algorithm there waiting to come out BUT I can't yet put my finger on it Malc

actually the Aldi own brand Beautifully Butterly spread stuff at 85p a tub is quite delicious on their Aldi own .......... honey infused, sliced 800gm loaf at maybe £1.19 a loaf ...... I have this with my breakfast every morning BUT yes, the other 'arf has Lurpak too when she's feeling " rich " I refuse to buy the stuff now ! ( that could be me in the video too ) Malc
