  1. But why are you worried about the fuel economy? Is it a case of saving money or the planet? If you're only doing 18 mile round trip commutes a tank of fuel would last a month anyway at 40mpg I understand the DPF and reliability issue is making you consider changing cars but again, don't worry about the MPG as the costs will not be too different between a 40mpg and a 56mpg vehicle so don't make a decision simply based on MPG
  2. The E-Pace should really be compared to the UX with both being around 4.4m long. The NX is closer to the F-Pace both being roughly 4.7m long So it makes sense that the NX would be more expensive as a used buy, more so as its quite popular in the range. Additionally, you seem very hung up on the mpg? Even if you managed 56mpg all the time in a UX and 41mpg in an NX, it'd only save you £400 over an entire year. Dont buy a vehicle based on the mpg as its such a small difference at low miles anyway, thatd be my advice
  3. The UX should be fine if there's only two of you and of course has the occasional space for more if required. The economy is OK but dont expect wonders at a journey of 9 miles. You may get around 40-42mpg in that sort of distance as the vehicle will be warming up for around 1-2 of those miles at least dependant on temperatures outside. In any case you should find that the interior quality and ride is much much better than the Jag E-Pace.
  4. I suggest you wait and keep looking at autotrader and Lexus used website - these things dont pop up everyday
  5. I mean honestly youre better off just looking at a comparison website Most insurers pay out with no problems. Ive claimed a few times with admiral and once with LV - no issues
  6. Yh probably wouldnt have claimed for that - I dont know what your excess is but you might find that the damage would be relatively easy to fix
  7. They shouldnt be bronze. The front and back are gunmetal The side windows are always silver on these. You could get them removed and wrapped to black or potentially a similiar gunmetal shade
  8. The front grill trim and the rear bumper trim should be the same i.e. a gunmetal finish The window surround is silver Not sure what you mean by the alloys as they are painted and would be impossible to get into the same finish
  9. It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. In all honesty, better off looking at autotrader used valuation and HPI values.
  10. Who said Id been treated badly by VAG? They've told me an estimated date of arrival which was initially 6 months with the proviso it could move closer or further but likely further. I email them when I fancy an update and they reply with an estimated build date. I dont have any complaints and I dont expect them to keep sending me monthly messages. There's probably enough customers who are in the same boat chasing their orders constantly. Lexus customer service has and always will be much superior to other brands, but it does tend to be after you receive the vehicle!
  11. It's been the same with most manufacturers for the past year. It's nothing new. VAG build dates change on a daily basis. You're lucky it's actually going to come in 12 months since order tbh so it's nothing drastic to be complaining about
  12. Autoebid have it for £34289 if on finance. Add paint it'll be £610-900 more
  13. Depends on how you use it. If its turned on without radar cruise control, itll just vibrate the steering wheel If you turn radar cruise control on, itll keep the vehicle in lane. I tend to rest my thigh on the steering wheel or hold it very lightly.
  14. The 2.4 Turbo is coming to the UK but as the hybrid 500h F-Sport Performance model. However, the RX acceleration is more than adequate as mentioned already. Additionally, it does handle reasonably well for a car its size.
  15. Its not any different to adding options on the car. and itll probably be hacked reasonably quickly.
  16. Different manufacturers follow different processes. Just because Lexus are a division of Toyota, it doesnt mean they follow the same process. Like I said, the manufacturer we ordered a car from does not have tracking either. They used to before the crisis, but they took it down after it became stupidly unreliable. In the grand scheme of things a £40k car is probably closer to the average. A Golf R costs more than that now. Just wait it out, dont see what the problem is and really dont see why you need constant updates.
  17. To reduce tyre noise inside the cabin. As there is no engine as such, there's a lot less noise in the cabin than the 250h which means that ears naturally focus on the next noisiest thing, which is usually tyres. I recently drove a BMW 540i M-Sport. Different class of vehicle I know but amazingly quiet even with the 20" wheels and run flats. However, you do feel cats eyes on the motorway a lot more when changing lanes. I personally would remove them. I dont think they're worth the loss in handling and driving feel.
  18. Oh dear Leather cleaning shouldnt need any vigorous rubbing. Likely its rubbed the clear topcoat off the leather. Ideally just needs spraying with leather cleaner, very light agitation with a leather brush and then removal with damp cloth. Finally seal the leather. Nothing else is required including rubbing
  19. Go for it. Lexus has a very loyal following and its usually due to customer service levels. To be honest, you've been on the forum and I haven't read a single positive from your posts. You obviously fail to grasp the fact that theres a economic crisis going on, an ongoing war and a worldwide supply issue. I've also got a car on order from another brand and thats almost been 7 months of waiting whihc has also had an MY23 change. You dont get any updates from the dealer unless you ask for one and you're not the only monkey in the jungle despite you thinking so. "comments removed, no need for the personal insults"
  20. No idea so far. Its going to the Lexus approved bodyshop in September. Admiral was reasonably quick to get it approved but unfortunately there are lots of cars waiting for parts etc booked in before ours. Luckily still driveable so thats OK.
  21. I had the roof done on one of my cars a while back. It was fine but it does cost especially a whole car. Whole car will be around £2-3k. it needs to be prepped properly and ideally would need doors, bumpers, handles taking off so the wrap is put into all the crevices. The last thing you want is the outside to be one colour and the door shuts etc being another
  22. I dont think the configurator is fully updated yet and will have some discrepancies until it is completed.
  23. Would make much difference weight wise. Its a very rare option and tbh Id probably take the panoramic sunroof over the active stabilisers any day. The panoramic sunroof brightens the cabin up so much in comparison to the standard sunroof
