  1. I dont think they're spongy - they're actually more natural than most brake systems It seems that everyone has got used to the over sensitive brakes on new cars that make your neck hurt as soon as you put your foot on the brake
  2. There are too many uncertainties at this stage regarding delivery timescales and they do change by the month Almost all manufacturers are struggling with this - VAG group have a lead time of almost 18 months on some cars so I don't doubt that Lexus is being fairly straightforward with their September 2023 delivery dates. The RZ doesnt seem massively expensive to me in comparison to every other manufacturer. New car prices have gone a bit mental and it now costs over £30k to get into a decent VW Golf, and over £45k to get into a new C-Class. I understand there are a lot of comparisons against Skoda etc but thats like comparing a Renault to a Bentley. There are a lot of people on this forum who seem to focus on entirely numbers rather than anything else like build quality for example.
  3. Id advise you to read the policy documents quite thoroughly before taking it out. There are usually a few exclusions, for example scratches over a certain length or depth, dents in some areas
  4. I dont think it ever was an approved screening test in the first place was it? Certainly not in my lifetime.
  5. True, but you can't do a PSA on everybody either as it'll show up too many people who end up getting a biopsy or MRI on their prostate. I mean certain red flags like ejaculating blood would prompt a 2 week wait referral and a reasonably high PSA but other than that its very hard
  6. The PSA is a crap screening test and affected by multiple factors. Go for a run - elevated. Constipated - elevated. Urine infection? elevated. Prostatits - Elevated. The list goes on and on. Sometimes the PSA is not raised and a cancer is there. DRE - you can probably tell the size of the prostate and if its tender. Boggy is easy to feel for but youve got no chance reliably saying that a cancer can be picked up by a DRE unless its massively obvious. A biopsy is the gold standard. Most with prostate cancer will live with the condition and die from something else by the way. The 10 year survival rate is well above 90%
  7. Well we do live in a country which seems to prioritise non-working people compared to hard working people so what do you expect. You're better off claiming back pain for the rest of your life when taking into account all the benefits you can claim than working as a junior doctor or nurse in the NHS. Let that sink in for a minute.
  8. Not seen that many and certainly not many F-Sport spec Seen loads of IS300h now though, theyre all used as Taxis
  9. It was around £1-2k from memory. You have two options - give it back or live with it and take compensation. Theyll give you some free services but at the same time they might pull out the terms and conditions which will say something like "the specification of the vehicle has to be checked by the buyer and is their responsibility"
  10. You can still fill a bucket and wash the car with a mitt and rinse down with a watering can. So theoretically you just need a pump sprayer if you want to bother using snow foam / prewash and the rest of the process should be the same bar the watering can to rinse.
  11. Couple of months at the moment
  12. Wbac, motorway and carwow. Dealers give you offers on motorway and carwow so takes out the haggling bit
  13. They seem to go for the passenger side wheel well a lot. Chances are the ECU is probably located near there
  14. Does sound like a 12v battery. Some of them can be a bit funny and will cause all sorts of lights on the dash. It's very easy to say send it back but in practice it won't get sorted for a long time if going down this route and the issues sound easily fixable
  15. I think you're going to need to take it to a detailer and put a proper ceramic coating on it Something like Ceramic pro which requires a yearly maintenance - Would be about £750 to do it and £150 a year annually but its guaranteed for 5-10 years depending on which package you get
  16. Normal. Likely moisture in the air causing a thin layer of rust on the brake discs overnight. Takes a few stops to remove the layer of rust especially on the hybrid where some of the braking is done regeneratively.
  17. Go for OEM. Lexus parts direct should have what you're looking for
  18. Yep can be repaired but needs to be done by a professional. Might not look exactly the same but it'll be much better than it is now
  19. Id suggest using something like Vehicle Smart app to keep track of everything. When its time for MOT/Service - book it through the dealerships website rather than the Lexus website, for example Lexus Leeds is part of Vantage group so I book it directly through the Vantage website
  20. Any wheel cleaner will do. Ideally shouldnt be using a wheel cleaner every wash - the wheels need sealing and then a normal car shampoo should suffice
  21. Its either a loose connection or a dead unit. You can try replacing the unit but the parts are hard to come by.
