  1. Id suggest using something like Vehicle Smart app to keep track of everything. When its time for MOT/Service - book it through the dealerships website rather than the Lexus website, for example Lexus Leeds is part of Vantage group so I book it directly through the Vantage website
  2. Any wheel cleaner will do. Ideally shouldnt be using a wheel cleaner every wash - the wheels need sealing and then a normal car shampoo should suffice
  3. Its either a loose connection or a dead unit. You can try replacing the unit but the parts are hard to come by.
  4. I wouldnt think many LC500's have Likely it will be a Lexus genuine screen but you will need the radar and safety systems calibrating afterwards. What colour is yours? The Sonic red is a PITA to respray as are most of the 4 stage colours
  5. Nothing really to look out for on them to be honest. The only thing I can think of is it wont go under the Lexus Relax warranty scheme as itll be over 10 years old but if that doesnt bother you then its fine
  6. It is leather but modern leather is so processed nowadays it really will be no issue
  7. I think if you compare a non F-Sport GS to an F-Sport ES its probably going to lose out.
  8. Will be absolutely fine. Just ensure the dash is regularly protected with a matt interior dressing with UV protectors
  9. I doubt its due to heat Either someone has been in there trying to remove it or its had a knock.
  10. Every car with AC will leave puddles of water underneath the car. Maybe more so in warmer weather.
  11. Yep as said - felt pad. They're not usually stuck down but firmly placed. They will get sucked onto a good vacuum so I reckon thats probably whats happened
  12. Suppose I was lucky in a sense. I had it replaced 4 years ago. My car is a Feb 2016 and it started around 20k miles. They diagnosed and replaced within a week at that point too.
  13. https://www.eurocarparts.com/wiper-blades?Brands=Denso Just measure your blades and get the Denso ones. They're the OEM blades anyway and much cheaper than getting Lexus refills
  14. Its very difficult to get dye from jeans out of leather. There are some dye remover products out there but generally speaking once its there, its there, hence why light leather needs to be sealed immediately before using
  15. I put it to the highest providing it reduces the premium. Often you'll find a sweet spot at which point if you increase the excess amount it wont make a massive difference to the premium itself so its almost a balancing act. I tend to go for higher excesses though as if its not your fault, youll reclaim the excesses through your legal cover (essential in my view). It also stops you from claiming for every little thing If its your fault then you just cough it up I guess.
  16. But why are you worried about the fuel economy? Is it a case of saving money or the planet? If you're only doing 18 mile round trip commutes a tank of fuel would last a month anyway at 40mpg I understand the DPF and reliability issue is making you consider changing cars but again, don't worry about the MPG as the costs will not be too different between a 40mpg and a 56mpg vehicle so don't make a decision simply based on MPG
  17. The E-Pace should really be compared to the UX with both being around 4.4m long. The NX is closer to the F-Pace both being roughly 4.7m long So it makes sense that the NX would be more expensive as a used buy, more so as its quite popular in the range. Additionally, you seem very hung up on the mpg? Even if you managed 56mpg all the time in a UX and 41mpg in an NX, it'd only save you £400 over an entire year. Dont buy a vehicle based on the mpg as its such a small difference at low miles anyway, thatd be my advice
  18. The UX should be fine if there's only two of you and of course has the occasional space for more if required. The economy is OK but dont expect wonders at a journey of 9 miles. You may get around 40-42mpg in that sort of distance as the vehicle will be warming up for around 1-2 of those miles at least dependant on temperatures outside. In any case you should find that the interior quality and ride is much much better than the Jag E-Pace.
  19. I suggest you wait and keep looking at autotrader and Lexus used website - these things dont pop up everyday
  20. I mean honestly youre better off just looking at a comparison website Most insurers pay out with no problems. Ive claimed a few times with admiral and once with LV - no issues
  21. Yh probably wouldnt have claimed for that - I dont know what your excess is but you might find that the damage would be relatively easy to fix
  22. They shouldnt be bronze. The front and back are gunmetal The side windows are always silver on these. You could get them removed and wrapped to black or potentially a similiar gunmetal shade
