  1. It's quite clear you've never read the finance terms and conditions like many people on this forum. It doesn't matter what dealers make you believe, it matters what's written down in the fine print. Simple really. Yes but you didn't buy from the other dealers did you? You bought from a specific dealer who probably has no relation to any of the other dealers who did honour the offers for their customers
  2. Its definitely a runflat. The car in question looks like a Mercedes C-Class which is fitted with runflats from the factory. I should know, I have one of the same generation. I removed the runflats from the C-Class and it absolutely transformed it. It was harsh on the bumps, made a right old racket when changing lanes on the motorway going over cats eyes. All that has disappeared, not to mention it no longer skips on tight turns.
  3. Its only been a week! I think the fact that they've given OP a loan car to drive around in whilst they're sorting it out is acceptable. Any other manufacturer they'd say "well there's the deal and heres the contract, so take it or leave it". I wouldn't really be surprised if it takes 2-3 weeks to sort things out.
  4. Id suggest giving Chris Knott a call. They can beat your cheapest quote by like £20 but their customer service is top drawer when claiming. Lexus insurance tends to be very expensive for what you get and you can get a genuine Lexus repair by going to a Lexus approved bodyshop and paying an excess of £200 regardless of who your insurer is
  5. TBH I dont tink theres much you can do. Steering locks can be removed fairly easily if the vehicle is towed away anyway GHOST and steering locks might force them to come into your house if they really want it.
  6. Just get some Denso wipers - same stuff as Lexus genuine anyway
  7. Culture today is very different - almost a disposable culture. Makes sense then when Lloyds Bank recently stated that most of the accounts that people have with them dont even have £500 in them. As Colin says - the cheaper way usually now is to pay off the finance immediately and take all the incentives. But at the end of the day it still requires people to save up Gone are the days where people would drive around cars they could actually afford. Instead we see many youngsters loaded to the gilt in monthly outgoings. Cost of living crisis? Ive long called bull**** on it. Its only a crisis if you dont have enough saved up to begin with or aren't great with money in my opinion.
  8. Well if you read terms and conditions then yes that is precisely what is expected to happen. Most of these agreements don't honour the prices yet nobody even reads the fine print. VAG tend to honour the prices at order but that's written in their contract. The manufacturer and dealer accepted the order yes, but they also provided anyone with documentation clearly stating prices/finance could go up at anytime. Unfortunately it's just the way it is at this current time
  9. You are mistaken The only deal that you made with the dealer was that they can deliver the specified colour and spec. Don't forget that by opting for a financial product from the dealership, you're actual finance deal was with Lexus Financial Services which is a completely different entity. The distinction is important because you dont own the car, its actually owned by Lexus Financial Services until you pay for it and therefore are bound to their terms and conditions. You have a few options if the situation stays the same: 1) swallow the extra cost 2) pay off the finance immediately with savings or get a personal loan 3) Walk away and likely you will get your deposit refunded in full.
  10. I understand the disappointment that you may be feeling especially waiting so long for the vehicle. However - it is explicitly stated in the terms and conditions that the finance deal can change Lexus UK or the dealer might give you a goodwill gesture and you do have the option of paying the finance off as well if you really want the car. Unfortunately I dont think anyone can really guarantee the APR at the current time
  11. 1) With the leather seats I think you need to give them a good scrub with leather cleaner. Itll reduce the appearance of the lines. The lines are part of natural leather ageing, nothing really you can do with those to be honest. 3) I believe some of the older Lexus vehicles wouldnt let you put a full 7 digit postcode in. It definitely had it on the facelift 2012 models but not on the earlier cars. 4) Yes it doesnt open on the 3rd generation of RX. There was an option of an opening sunroof or a full length fixed panoramic roof. 6) Ive always found in the RX that you need to fully close the parcel shelf to stop it rattling. Otherwise it rattles when its left open all the time
  12. Yes as they are the same size front and back. As mentioned though it is better to atleast have 2 tyres at 6mm and 2 tyres at 3mm than having all 4 tyres at 3.5mm
  13. It is usually in the small print to be fair that they can change the finance agreement until youve actually started paying it Almost the same way that the buyer can pay off the finance within 14 days
  14. Nothing wrong. Its designed this way and you will get inner wear on the rears and outer wear on the fronts. You shouldn't use the same tyres front and rear on the 18" wheels are the wheels are different widths. You can alternatively change to 17" wheels on the Premier which are a square setup
  15. They are cheaper to run as a fact. Company car owners dont pay tax on them so they become massively cheaper to run even taking into account the higher electricity costs. I run it through a business so had my profits reduced by £46k (price of the car when new) so effectively saved me >£10k in corporation tax alone. When was the last time an ICE could do that. The VED will still be cheaper than anything with a combustion engine so its nothing to worry about.
  16. Ive left my UXe for 3 weeks without a charge and it started up fine. Not had any major issues after I turned the Lexus Link app off
  17. They are about the same as equivalent premium manufacturers Mercedes charge £1032 for 2 services on a C class - which is about £500 a service.
  18. The only issue I have with the UX300e was the battery discharging every 2 days needing a charge due to the Lexus Link. Just randomly started doing it as I had it for a year before that. Anyway, I understand there is an update for that but Ive kept it off until I get it done. Other than that, been very reliable. No squeaks or rattles to speak of and OMG its so smooth on the motorway, Its almost as good as my RX. The range is good enough for the driving we do and I do tend to get that range as well, unlike some EVs where you get almost 20% less
  19. £18k - I suspect the RX is much better insulated and has much better ride quality than the NX I mean that's like comparing an X3 to an X5 though isn't it?

Yes in the same way an Audi A3 is a glorified Seat Leon. But you wouldnt really be able to tell if you didnt know
  21. Well yes because of emissions and everything else thats going on. Prices look reasonable compared to other vehicles in the same class The only weird thing is, there's no F-Sport trim for the 350h or the 450h+
  22. It doesnt change automatically. Daylight saving needs to be turned off manually and then in March you'll have to put it back on.
  23. Yep - old photo so dont look at the spark plugs. But the rear differential oil definitely appears to need changing every 20k/4 years
  24. No they dont. AVS was an option on the pre-facelift IS300h (those before 2017). The only way to tell without looking at the shocks was if the vehicle had Sport S+ mode which made the suspension stiffer on top of the stiffer steering and faster throttle response in Sport S mode
