  1. Let us know how you get on with them. Im still finding them incredibly smooth and quiet after 1000 miles or so. Did the car need alignment? or did you have it done just in case?
  2. Thats exactly what I did. I took mine directly to Lexus who have then arranged for Albany (?) to deal with the claim. The repairs will be carried out at the Lexus body ship . Just waiting for a time to be arranged for the car to be collected. I am glad your NX has been repaired to a good standard. I have been told Arctic Pearl is an absolute nightmare to match and I have all fingers crossed that it will be ok Yep Arctic pearl is a pain to match. In fact - a good friend of mine has an IS in Arctic pearl and it was seen by some jealous yobs who poured brake fluid all over the roof and a full side of the car. It was written off after the paint shop tried unsuccessfully to match the paint, 4 times :o The flakes in Arctic pearl are very hard to align. If you get it wrong, one side will look ivory white and the other will look white and when the sun hits it, the ivory white will go to white and the white will go to ivory white!
  3. Agree to disagree then. I dont like how Audi use the same bulbs. Gives off a kind of "oh I couldnt be bothered to use more bulbs or wire it properly". The dynamic bulbs on the RX are certainly visible compared to the flat white DRL's
  4. Yeah its just to cover their backs if something goes wrong. Even Kwik Fit do this as they have bother from people trying to claim compensation. Usually they'll write things like (underbody not inspected due to fitted cover or rear offside seatbelt not inspected due to fitted child seat) etc.
  5. It grows on you I guess. I didnt like it at first either. I ordered my RX after seeing it in the showroom for the first time as it works. Of course, it depends on which spec you go for, the F-Sport has a nicer looking grill compared to the Luxury models IMO. Something I noticed whilst watching the vid - that HUD is pretty impressive! Full colour, speed, adaptive cruise control guide, lane guidance for sat nav as well as sat nav instructions. Pretty cool! Another thing is that they didnt skimp on the lighting. The Turn signals are just above the L-shaped Daytime running lights and stay on unlike *cough* Audi, who use the same bulbs for the DRL's and the turn signals and you get the cheap look where the other side go dim etc
  6. LED headlights and HUD are good. Night vision is practically rubbish lol. A car manufacturer really needs to come out with a night vision windscreen which changes at night to help road users see things they wouldnt have seen otherwise.
  7. Very interesting - especially his reference to a "new powertrain" with more power and fuel efficiency. Does that mean the RX is coming with a new Hybrid drivetrain? Only time will tell!
  8. Dont worry its not possible at all. Just checked their website! The only way you can do it is if you call DVLA, give a good explanation e.g. car ran into you and drove off, you got their number plate.
  9. £48k or less is brand new GS450h F-Sport territory......... Huge discounts on the GS450h at the moment! Practically like £7k off lol
  10. Nice! Pics are mandatory of course! Im surprised the dealers taking a week! My handover was done 1 day after it arrived :)
  11. Ill probably get 2. One from Bradford and one from Stockport seen as though I bought one RX from each of them! If they've been funny on the spec as they have with the NX, I think ill be getting a Volvo XC90 (never thought Id ever buy a Volvo) but we'll have to see!
  12. Im thinking of buying but I have to see the car in person first and check the size out. Apparently its a good 12cm bigger than the current RX so about GS length. And the options list + colours etc
  13. Itll be for an option we dont get in the UK. Probably some sort of American only option
  14. Nice! HUD surely has to be on the F-Sport, it'd be silly to remove something already on the F-Sport
  15. Toyota Auris Hybrid Pretty much the same car - the badge. The Auris is actually 90% CT for <90% cost. It pretty much drives like it and has a decent interior to match. Not too good looking on the outside in my opinion but its still a good car.
  16. Its not possible from the DVLA website, otherwise anybody could track you down if they wanted to steel your car I think you have to form the DVLA with a good reason and pay them £2.50 or something and theyll release the name and address.
  17. Wow looks like they dropped a bollock lol. Out of interest what's the difference between a 2015 screen and a 2014 screen?
  18. Glad to hear it's sorted now. Any noticeable change in colour in repaired parts? I would have thought Sonic T is quite difficult to get right
  19. I had multiple issues with the sunroof. It did what you described but also wouldn't open one touch and wouldn't close one touch either. It had a mind of its own. Never leaked though
  20. There should be an accessory brochure with any extras inside. May be worth asking the dealer for one
  21. I prefer Citalopram ??. Won't last as long in the system due to short half life. 36 hours only in citalopram, fluoxetine is 4-5 days. Citalopram has faster onset though
  22. But others may argue that consistently trying to park parallel to the lines is OCD for which the first line of treatment should be antidepressants such as Prozac (fluoxetine)
  23. In this time of declining standards, the wish to park "properly" is a good thing and a matter of pride. The problem is whether it is possible to reconcile this attitude with the need to protect yourself from the increasing number of fellow drivers who do not share it. Certainly, parking at an angle is a viable protective stratagem when spaces are unmarked since any new neighbour will almost certainly duplicate your angle and keep an acceptable distance. To hog more room than you are entitled to when parking in marked spaces, perhaps straddling two of them, might, apart from other considerations, not discourage prospectively unwelcome neighbours but have the effect of inviting them to teach you a lesson by getting stupidly close to your outer extremities thus forcing you to wriggle around when you come to drive off. Or such has been my own experience on some of the few occasions when I have been tempted to occupy more space than I should. All in all, I believe vertical parking to be generally a bit safer than parking parallel to the kerb. In this latter case, apart from needing to watch out for the kerb itself, you have no control whatsoever over who or what you may find behind and/or in front of you or how close they were to your gleaming paintwork when they arrived. Nobody said anything about straddling lines? I did, having noticed that a lot of people do, and, to my shame, have occasionally done myself. Im just saying - what is the need for parking perfectly straight in a parking space? The main point about parking straight is that it reflects a desire for tidiness and orderliness that I personally consider praiseworthy, not least because fewer and fewer people appear to share it. Also, car-parks and parking areas have parallel lines painted on the ground not only so that you should stay within them but also so they can help you to position the car straight. But does it really matter if you park straight or not as long as you're in the lines?
  24. £367 is steep. I paid £999 for my RX with loads of goodies included for 3 years. Without all the goodies, quoted price was £750. I actually use the goodies, so it works out cheaper for me over the 3 year period. Also quoted less than £800 for 3 years servicing on an IS300h at Lexus Leeds and Bradford. Are you haggling guys? They gave me £900 at first
