  1. I need to check mine out but i've forgotten where it is. Anyone point me in the right direction?
  2. Adski. Don't let your fears stand in the way of your dreams. I can sell you a nice set of Sport alloys for it to set you on your modding route cos you know you want to... I'll look out for you cos you are only down the road from me and I know where there is possibly a spares car coming up.
  3. I love mine even more now that I have had the rear wing painted in the same colour as the rest of the car. No doubt it will change again when I can be a55ed to fit the 10 inch rears.
  4. got any pics mate.... ← There a couple in the gallery but none with big wide rears yet.
  5. Another rekindled topic.... I sold my original one and couldn't bond with the 300ZX so the only option was to replace it with another one bit this time in my fave colour, White, which apparently is called grey. Got noooo plans to sell this beauty and even less now that it has its 10" rears. Boys and there toys eh.
  6. Whatever you choose, don't spoil the brew by adding an additive. Its probably already in there. My better half has a 97 Escort with a CVH engine. Its into 90 odd thousand miles now and apart from when Ford serviced it for the first 2 years, i have always oil changed it every 10,000 mileswith a 10/40 semi sythentic. Recently I had to swap a leaking rocker cover gasket on it and was pleaseantly surprised to see how spotless the engine internals are. No doubt most Lexus Engines will be the same.
  7. I've got a pair of 285x35 P zeros. Will they fit the tens? Hope so cos they came with the car and they are as new.
  8. Its nothing special to change it. The Badge on the car will probably up the price if you go independant. The hardest part is cracking the crank pulley bolt loose.
  9. I think its sixty or something unusual like sixty three. I must change mine. Its been sitting in the boot since a week after I bought the car and that was in April.
  10. The only difference is the ride height. The sport sits lower. Have a look at the two pics I posted of before and after i changed the springs over. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...ry&cmd=sc&cat=4 They should be on this page.
  11. I can't help with a sport spring but I have a full set of standard springs for the MK1 for sale on Ebay at the moment.
  12. Its a 9005 and a 9006 for the uk spec cars. Not sure which is high and low though.
  13. The car has had paintwork done in what looks like this warm grey pearl because it dosen't match the rest of the car. The colour chip matches the repainted area perfectly but not the car. Im sure the car hasn't had a colour change because the whole car colour is consistent with the inside of the doors and around the boot area. Even to the bottoms of the doors. Can any painters out there offer any advice?
  14. Cheers Bazza. That sounds right but im getting it as warm grey pearl. Where did you find that out?
  15. 95 spec GS300. Paint code is 046. Can anyone tell me the name of the colour or where I can find it?
  16. The plan is to fit some part worns and swap two of them for a pair of ten inch rears with bald tyres. This guy who has the tens dosen't want to buy tyres. This should give me two spare 8 inch wheels to refurb and sell on and one ten inch to sell on which hopefully will mean i get my tens for nothing and come out with a bit of cash to spare. I'll keep you posted as to how it goes.
  17. The car that was mentioned at the start of this thread is still parked on the road with no rear end on it.
  18. Even with a porous cylinder, it should still run. It will probably push a lot of steam out of the exhaust and the spark plug for that cylinder should be nice and clean
  19. I have just found the bill for mine. It came to £113.92 including vat and delivery unpainted. However, this is the standard factory option without the brake light.
  20. Thats debateable Colin. If you fit a kit to a Nissan 300ZX it does improve your electrical system but it doesn't give you extra BHP or more MPG as claimed. It simply improves it because the original wiring and Earth conns are pants. I can't say what if any improvements they would make to a lex but if you have poor quality Earths then the resistance will improve. I wouldn't pay the money for one over here. They are mucgh cheaper on Ebay US than in this country and that includes the shipping.
  21. I had starter trouble with my last Lex (RIP). It turned out to be a loose conection on the starter from when the engine was put back in after the chassis straightening session.
