  1. had that problem once and I changed the petrol station and the fuel filled up without any probs! weird I don't know lol :o or may be the fuel filler pipe is kinked or something causing to pressure the fuel back . not sure but would also like to know about this - - :eerrrmm:
  2. them upper ball joints right there. you changing them because of the dust cover split? mind you if they don't have play they soon will or sieze up without he grease. go for them -
  3. as above ^ as when there is play in the mount or in rare cases the mount is not supporting the coil spring on full lock to lock.
  4. to be honest I have never heard of them and have many lowered cars in the past. are there new on the market ? why do you want that specific make ?
  5. I had the same problem. sometimes it use to just start working. mine was the laser and the copy cd which buggered the laser up in long run. a bit like the original cd player unit. they don't like copies. changed the cd rom unit in boot 2nd hand and got 2 new cd/dvd from lexus. ran superb and very quick loading then before. you can try cleaning the unit 1st and see if makes any difference.
  6. if anything the guy will let you know if he spots anything. such as tyres or may be a seized track rod end arm. at 47k you should be good and the alignment makes a big difference to the handling and drive'
  7. same here getting burnt in summer. had the chrome titanium gear knob on my auto, now changed and got the leather knob. thick and chunky and I am fully protected! :hocus-pokus:
  8. hi Adnan. you want to post up the diesel section of the other models. this the is200/300 section and don't think anyone here could or would help you out. but my thoughts at a guess, try disconnecting the battery and do a reset and try using a fuel additive cleaner. there is a placed in Bradford called buck street motors who are really good with diesels. could check them out. all the best -
  9. what mm are you after ? I think I have a set hanging around' will have a look -
  10. one thing for sure I can say is they are superb on handling for a rwd layout which a bmw will struggle to keep up. I have had 4 by 4's almost hanging with me on bends. its proberly the suspension setup I got. I wouldn't say mine is the slowest 200 either, it shocks many drivers what it can do. think the heat this summer got to me, I guess I got to calm down and stop behaving like lois Hamilton, its a lexus at the end of the day. luxury & elegance - -
  11. well that's my problem you see, I have always had under 7 seconds cars ! its my 3rd 200 model. got to love the drive & comfort though. the 300 model is somewhat total different thing altogether, that's power added to the mix -
  12. that was a decent sportcross you had there bud - the quicker you replace it with another lex, the less you will be sad, I guess -
  13. 200 quid' all four, decent condition with part worn tyres and you get the centre caps! anything more than that you paying too much. but depends on the actual condition aswell, rims alone approx. half the price -
  14. the water pump runs off fan belt or cooling belt (aux) yes you can change the water pump alone but its a bit tricky that's all as the cam belt is in the way. everything will be off so people tend to change the cam belt kit along with the water pump and bypass pipe/seal. then your set at least 60k -
  15. if you don't mind the little extra cost then shell v-power! its better for your engine in long run, all types of conditions with all types of styles of driving. don't expect a massive gain of power as these models are not made to the full potential for power. put this fuel in a performance car, example a Lancer Evo, and you will know what I mean. great fuel ! all praise - -
  16. I have always used shell v-power in the IS300. I have found this is the best suited fuel for the wolf! I have tried many other types of fuel and it ran not the best and bit like the IS200 ? ! the 300 is different ball game and the higher the octane and quality of fuel you use , the better it runs unstressed. in the end though it mainly comes to the type of driving is outputted and the type of city//urban usage -
  17. as john mentioned ^ Eibach spring kit is the way forward for a neat drop and comfort. cant go wrong :ooh-ducky:
  18. perfect drop for the perfect colour!
  19. mine are all standard speakers and they much better in all the cars I had in past included the previous IS models. superb sound quality. . crystal clear tops, fine mids, and soft deep lows like I got a 10 inch sub in the boot. in the end its all good for standard but its personal preference how you want your music. if anything you can change the oem cd unit which buggers up on many models!
  20. its hardly any difference but there is a change in throttle response. according to me, these cars are so slow in performance, that any change or gain is a massive improvement for these snails! In long run the filter works out to be cheaper that's the real gain
  21. that's a fair price. if your mechanically minded you can do it your self. costing would be approx. 200/300. you can change cambelt while your at it if needs replacing, as you will take it off the cam pulley. you can get it done by local garage. I would say max 500 quid costing, half day job. if everything else is good on your car and not burning engine oil then its your choice to fix it and keep it.
  22. that's correct bluesman - thats one of the reasons too, confusion confusion - -
  23. hi Richard - that's an idiot alright! get the original ones they are good. a breaker from a yard or the net will do. sell or dump the idiot guy speakers! music huh ? some people go to the extreme for some beats. maybe the previous owner thought half the window roll will do me :P
