  1. May be the issues are multiple. You could see if all connectors at the rear of radio are connected, else it could be a fault in radio FM section: do you hear a noise and no stations or nothing at all?
  2. On my GS 300h Premier with LEDs same problem: I searched for some screws to adjust like I did with my former GS 450h MY 2008 , but not found, will ask to fix at next service. It seems that with HIDs Lexus keeps beams low...
  3. In US usually the model year in cars is the next one, so a MY 2007 GS is sold in 2006 ;-) To be sure that replacement fits on your car, you have to ask if it is for your GS with VIN number .
  4. Uhm, I drive a GS 300h and it's difficult to me to find the "serious issue" . If I had to complain something in my Lexus is the cost to update my navi system, for sure a more serious defect; besides in GS the solution to vibration is only software, no need to mount dampers.
  5. The point is not awaking neighbours coming home in EV at 4 in the morning ;-)
  6. A recall is for a serious problem regarding security and/or risk, and some vibrations that the most of drivers even don't notice is not a valid reason.
  7. Thanks. I knew that there was a big risk to make something excessive, but at least for blue led stripe there was a real necessity to have more light in trunk.
  8. I made 2 little mods in my GS 300h trying to have more light in my trunk and some aestethic improvements, using LED blue stripes and logo projectors in doors. Here the links:
  9. Some "not original" discs require this procedure, but they don' work on all Lexus models, as I already wrote about.
  10. Misfire can happen also for other causes, for instance dirty fuel injectors , try also with a injectors fuel cleaner to next fueling.
  11. If you are in doubts about a spare part you can ask them sending the VIN number of the car, and they will control if the items fits.
  12. Toyota eCVT is totally different: no belts, 2 electric motors/generators and no sliding parts, a brilliant solution with epicycloidal gears. Just a link: http://eahart.com/prius/psd/ In small Lexus is so, in larger ones, GS 450h and LS is added a different final gear to let higher max speed keeping motors in project specs.
  13. Because total capacity is 65 litres, and I never succeeded to make more than 58 after a trip of 30 km. to go fuelling in Switzerland (I usually go there because is cheaper lol).
  14. In my 2008 GS 450h, when fuel light went on I had more than 10 liters in tank ; nonetheless is a good rule to fuel soon to preserve fuel pump, even if you can do a lot of miles before empty.
  15. Usually Lexus sells the complete set of maps for Europe in 4 discs, north, east center and south: and every disk have some countries that are present in other disc too, so it often happens that, being the whole set expensive, someone sells on ebay a single original disk that is for him useless; as the disk reader of GS reads only original disk the only cheaper solution is to use a original release. If you don't want last version, it's easy to find at a more reasonable price a dvd of a previous version, like 2012-2013 or similar. I agree that maps from Lexus are too expensive 8-)
  16. Hello Ray, here the link: http://www.lexus-tech.eu/aimuploads/ca0157d2-0183-4bd0-b705-6f3f08f27d60/Lexus%20Hotspot%20AOM%20001%20561-0%20PZ49X-C0270-WE%20_%20West%20Europe.pdf
  17. Just to talk about, in internet you can find not original discs or also ISO images with newer maps, but while they are accepted by other navigation systems on some Lexus models, they are not red by navi on GS.
  18. You can verify on Lexus portal inserting the old DVD code if the new one is that one you have, if you find the same code and it is a original DVD it must work, updating the reading firmware on the navigation system too.
  19. In my GS I have Lexus WiFi Hotspot, and it works fine: the connection procedure is easy and it's studied to receive signal better than using a direct connection on cell phone, having a diversity antenna connected. It can connect 5 wi-fi devices at the same time, and of course it needs a SIM with a valid registration. About various settings it works like a home modem router, entering setup trought a cell phone or a laptop with usual 192.168.1.1 address. It can receive updates from Lexus (probably to adapt to newer protocols, 4G/LTE?). If you wish to know more you can download for free the manual in pdf format from Lexus portal, if you don't find ask me, I have a copy in my documents.
  20. For what I can see on my GS with security pack, if you arrive too fast towards an obstacle it appears on display a big BRAKE in red and meanwhile you hear a loud beep, I did not dare not braking to see if car does by itself . It happened just one or two times in 10.000 miles; if you already have foot on brake command it does not happens. Another matter is setting speed when in queue, in that case car brakes accordingly to speed of queue till total stopping, to restart moving you need to press right foot to accelerate or moving up the speed selector.
  21. Thanks for info. Being a GS300h owner I will pay more attention if vibration occurs and if so I will tell to next service.
  22. May be intensive use of right foot and air conditioner? Using only SPORT mode?
