  1. Like Mat says everything is in these kits as they have slightly different pipework to what you're expecting as they were the MK1 kits - in all honesty think before jumping the gun as these are going to be as close to new kits if they're not new as you can get on the market today. I can understand you not being happy as it's not brand new, but now you have to have a think about it and it's either get back what you paid, and then buy one with 30k or 60k on, or just stick with this which has probably got a couple of hundred miles on, did Dave have any idea how much testing was done on these?
  2. Can't pal, it's a little media player thing that just has a power connection via the fag lighter socket, nothing to ground unfortunately, plus it's portable as it's the size of a USB HDD (it essentially is but with a DVD player on the PCB). It's not bad actually, only cost 30 quid, stick in a HDD and off you go, been sat watching Top Gear on the way to work along with something else :D Seen the place near me has them in for 7 quid so going to give one a go at the weekend :)
  3. I just recieved a media player the other day from eBay to go in the car and although it works great and I get a good picture etc, I can hear what I'm assuming is alternator whine as it increases in pitch as the revs go up. I'm guessing a ground loop isolator will fix the problem? This is the kind of thing I'm looking at: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Module...LOOP%20ISOLATOR Is this the right kind of thing I'm after or is there something much simpler to do the same job? Have to admit I found it hilarious driving up the motorway watching some erm, questionable content earlier today but it didn't half put a smile on my face :D Thanks in advance!
  4. I asked this over at the Clean your Car forums mate and they said that although fine to apply with your bare hands, you'll use much less if you use an applicator pad so I did that with my Vics Concourse mate, really does go a long way!
  5. Good work dude, looks mint after you've finished with it!
  6. Happy birthday mate, hope you managed a beer and a stewardess or two :D
  7. Looks nice mate, bet it must be quite a bit quicker than the IS is it?
  8. Yeah but if I'm reading it David's is the other way! They read quick so you can't sue the manufacturer in you get done for speeding when your speedo is under reading! Good point actually as I don't think cars are tested for this on an MOT are they?
  9. Hang on, yours is backwards so the speedo is reading slower than the GPS - hmmm have you got aftermarket alloys or something on there? If not that's definitely knackered! As the guys say it's ok for it to read faster than the GPS but not slower!
  10. What you having next then fella? Still looks as immaculate as your old one did!
  11. Nice one fella, they're pretty understated for the M version, not like the old ones!
  12. I'd go with the Nexen's, they don't last that long but they're a great soft compound which is quiet to boot!

    I Want 360hp

No mate I don't think so, Denso and NGK both manufacture their own plugs, however the likes of HKS take the Denso plugs and rebrand those as their own and sell them for twice the price as HKS Racing plugs :)
  14. Glad you're happy mate! To be honest that economy doesn't sound bad, to give you an idea I'm using about a quarter of the tank to 40-50 miles of town driving (worst I got was 17 miles), I can only match 100 to a quarter if I drive just on the motorway at a constant 70 From what I remember of my IS it sounds like it's settled down already, it should improve a bit though as you say it's been reset so does run a bit rich, I'd have thought it'd have settled after 100 miles anyway mate :)
  15. Happy birthday fella! Have a good day :)
  16. Blimey looking at that you'll need two new o2 sensors and a new MAP sensor, I'd be having a word with them! Welcome to the site btw!
  17. As standard they're all identical :) On some you'd get a chrome trim around the exhaust pipe but that was just a stick on thing.
  18. I bet he'll be waiting for them to turn up from Japan :D
  19. They'll probably be sat with customs, those buggers have got something of mine that's on the way in from China, wish they'd hurry up as wanted it for Wednesday but don't reckon there's any chance of that happening now :(
  20. Where were the ebay ones being sent from? Outside the UK? To be honest I've only ever seen the LED ones sold in pairs mate I think.
  21. It sounds like they were being bellends or just didn't know the correct procedure - as long as it's taxed and it's in the post there shouldn't be anything they can do I wouldn't have thought. If it's a case of it being weeks later fair enough, it would make life much easier if we just adopted something similar to the German approach, that way it's on the numberplate for all to see.

    I Want 360hp

These are the third set of Denso Iridiums I've had and never had that problem, used the IK20s in the IS200 when that was supercharged and it was fine, had some NGK BKR7EIXs in the Aristo and they were ok and now got Denso IK24s in and they're the best I've had so far :)
  23. Yeah the one's I've gotten were the spray / fan type mate, it sounds like they ordered the wrong ones fella!
  24. You could always see if there are any goldplating companies on the island and see if they could just do a standard one for you maybe?
