check the dvla website it states all about lighting.. and clearly states no othe colour than red (brakes) amber( indicators) white(main and all lights) any other colour should not be visable fron outside of the car.. craig I know that my main and highbeam are not legal.. for starters they are not eu approved and supposed to be for show only.. but the again mine are a little are not coulour just bright..

yep I have been a gold member now for some time and I can say i will carry on to be..if only to keep the club going.. and as some of you know i am now part of the team being a discount negotiator.. I am doing this for 2 reasons 1. because I like negotiating with companys.. and I like to think i am good at it.. 2. because i want to give something extra back to the club.. even if it is just my free time.. and the cost of a few phone calls.. The info i have gained from this site is amazing and has made me confident in doing things for myself rather than going to a garage.. I also never used to travel further than a 50 miles radius of my house but i have now been to lots of places i would not have done b4 just to meet other members.. all in all you each person has there own reasons and each person gets there own thing out of the club.. craig and for the princely sum of what???? 7pence a day to go gold....

ermm yes i live about 5 miles from it... i have been trying to think of an empty carpark on a week day during work hours.. but cant think of one yet...ahha just thought of a place not sure where people are comming from but it would be better to meet in the CRANLEIGH HOTEL carpark..(pub) next to Jewsons in cranleigh i will see if i can get a map together as cranleigh is more central for people comming from all directions..lol and only 10 mins away from airfield.. o.k postcode for jewson cranleigh is GU6 8RY pub is next door

IF THEY DONT...Do what i did after having loads of hassle with a washing machine... told them i was going to put it in the middle of there store and use it as a soap box to tell everybody how crap there service was.. On the day i said i was going to turn up with it and do said thing (which i did turn up that is) i was greeted by the manager and every thing was sorted and i got a new washing machine.. craig

lol... nope not stolen... he had the receipt from when he got it... ouch £441 notes worth.. he has now upgraded to a bigger flatscreen so i got lucky...

well i suppose its like all things.. some people just pay the price thats on display and dont bother to negotiate then theres others that will I dont know what the answer is to your question all i can say is that we will try and get discounts that are better than you would normally get and personally after working in the buiding trade for many years i know how to negotiate ..lol the point of gold is that it is there all in one place so you do not need to go hunting we have done some of it for you.. its hard for a company to offer a silly discount on some products as there margin fluctuates over the board of products and a small (say 10% or 15%) is the way most comanys will go.. but in saying that if you ask what they can do you may well get more off escpecially if the bridges have already been built by the club.. O.k i will stop waffling now..lol craig

I just picked up a flatscreen multimedia monitor from a car bootsale this morning.. its a taxan crystalvision 680 tco99-s 15" very clear picture with wall mounts or desktop stand and even got the arm to fix in air and swivel.. all for £80 not bad me thinks :D
