  1. Apparently the electric 300e doesn’t have it. But this may help those that do https://mag.lexus.co.uk/how-to-set-your-perfect-driving-position-in-your-lexus/#LexusUX
  2. You are assuming you get more than one key🙃 My 22 reg Takumi does not have memory seats. Which is fine as I don’t let the wife drive it.
  3. It’s EU law and I can see if you put a “Safety Feature” in then it should be enabled by default. It also gives the car manufacturers some experience in autonomous driving technology. Hopefully you will get used to it and it won’t be needed. However when I did my IAM test I was told not to indicate to pull out if no one will benefit. Which may cause the system to complain. However I always remember to brake before hitting the back of the car in front. Only very occasionally does the car think it has to remind me to brake and then I have started to move my foot anyway.
  4. I think it was just the rich cream that came with a lighter headlining. However you don't notice the black headlining, its the seat colour that is important. If you are after a used car, check pictures and ask.
  5. Exactly, you still have to put the same number of electrons in the battery. The quicker you do it the more have to go down the cable at once, hence a higher current. Which will be too much for domestic use and will require specialist equipment.
  6. Live every day as if it is your last… …one day, you will be right.
  7. Not often that I defend @ganzoom but there is a lot of hatred towards EVs on this forum of late. I get it, some people like the sound of a V8, some need to drive 300 miles in one go and can’t charge at home, and some people find the ease of driving an EV and not having to fill up with fuel an advantage. It’s great we are all different. 🙃
  8. In July when I bought my UX300e Takumi my insurance actually came down from the 7 year old IS300h I had. Septembers price in the UX300e is £550. The wife’s electric Corsa is normal premium cost as well Both insured with LV The benefits of living in Cheshire.
  9. I am just amazed you are happy to put your £60K+ car in the hands of some kid who wrote the app software (and we know how well the app works). If it does have a bump, will your insurance cover it?
  10. One thing I liked about my IS, and I assume it is the same in the RC, is that you can do a quick wipe manually anytime when in auto mode by moving the stalk so if the auto doesn't pick up when you want a wipe you can do it manually. I miss that on the UX. You have to take it out of auto mode to do a manual wipe.
  11. On my UX you can turn it off from the dash display settings. However, I do wonder what the insurance implications are if you turn off all these so called safety features.
  12. It is also important to say “Open sesame” or “Hello Pookie” or whatever the car is called.
  13. If you pay it off early, do you have to pay the balloon payment or Guaranteed Future Value ? I can see in a lot of cases especially for an EV the GFV will be considerably more than the trade in value you are given if you have paid it off in full.
  14. It’s no quicker driving on the footpaths https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-67032246
  15. Alternatively you can click on the music note icon on the right hand side and have both displayed. https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/manuals Paul
  16. Looks good. Funny how the owners of green cars seem to be more OCD about keeping them clean. Myself included.
  17. Have you tried searching for tire.? And other Americanisms.
  18. +1 for the Zappi. Ours seems to work fine. Installed by Home Charging Points For Electric Vehicles v5 - Evolution Solutions Happy with the install as well. Ours is in the garage.
  19. I wonder if they are still playing catch up after the recall on the bZ4x and RZ for wheels falling off last year. They look a similar design to the bolts on the NX. Link to original article https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61919424
  20. One of the reasons I got a dark coloured UX is I don’t like the black plastic trim round the wheel arches. I note the facelift UX had body coloured trims which I prefer. I know others prefer the black. Each to their own, but I have noticed some pre facelift models have the body coloured trim as well. They must be pre facelift as they have the remote touch interface for the screen not the updated touch screen. Were body coloured trims standard or an option on the pre facelift model at some point? Is there a pattern for which have them and which not? This only seems to apply to the petrol UX not the electric which all seem to have black trims on the pre facelift model. Thanks Paul
