  1. Hi Simon, this is not the first time i've heard of bad lexus service,..i believe Lexus service in the USA is very good but then again most service in the USA is 10 times better than the UK and i don't just mean Lexus dealers , I have my car serviced at a japanese car dealers and touch wood no problems so far, I don't trust any car dealers never have and never will.....they are all ok when booking the car in for work but the minute you have a problem they fob you off or should I say rip you off, Lexus dealers are no different from any other main dealer .... don't believe the myth that Lexus dealers are the best.. especially in the UK , I think the cars are great, just as well being as you can't rely on the car being looked after by the main dealer.....BMW, HONDA Jaguar, Ford, I won't name them all but you get my point, find a good mechanic and I mean mechanic not a fitter (there is a big difference ) that you can trust and stay with them is the best advise I can give,........any update on your bad Lexus service ? Allan
  2. Thanks Rick, I like the look of these back lights too ,I've not seen another like it , so very happy with the result......I'll have to have a look around for led bulbs with the resistors built in.....I must admit it's become a bit of a challenge to try and find th elusive flasher unit though ..... Allan
  3. I don't know why these picture uploaded upside down sorry ! Allan
  4. Just to update this topic, I've replaced the rear lights with smoked led lights...still have not found where the flasher unit is !!!! So I've now got all the rear lights led...accept the indicators which are still normal bulbs......I've looked all over for the flasher unit, I crawled into the car with my head up by the pedal box ( lucky I'm only little ! ) but I still can't find the flasher unit .....anyone know where the flasher unit is p l e a s e, I'll keep my fingers crossed for the answer, once I find it I'm going to take the front bumper off and replace the headlights with led DRL units and of course led indicators all round. Allan

  6. Hi Pete, yes the vfr sounds great at 6k revs and over, I think I would prefer the b'mer over the newer vfr I just don't like the look of it.... ....the K100 I had was a lovely bike, done quite a bit of touring on it ,so smooth and comfy and pretty quick too, that flat 4 engine also saved my left leg when a car t'boned me at junction on the way to work one morning the car hit the bike so hard it buckled the back wheel on the bike and took the front of the car off writing off both vehicles, if I had been on the v'fer I reckon I might have been much more injured than I was, ah well ....... Allan

  13. I don't think there would be any difference with left or right hand drive cars you should be able to adjust the mirrors accordingly, Allan
  14. There are slots on top of the bumper housing which tabs on bottom of the grill surround slot into, you do have to use a bit of force to push the bottom of surround out from the bumper I would advise protecting the area in front of the grill with masking tape or similar just in case ! Good luck. Allan
  15. I've got to get a smaller right boot, I get 19/20 mpg driving locally and about 32mpg on a good run, it's all relative though. You don't buy a lexus for economy do you ???? Allan
  16. Hi Dean, for your front side lights you should fit led bulbs, they give out a nice white light, I fitted them to my car and got rid of those dingy yellow bulbs, I got them from eBay item number is. 311143964496, Allan
  17. Thanks for a great guide , it's a job I've been putting off cos it looks like a lot of work ! A couple of questions if I may , are the manifold gaskets easly available ? Is it really necessary to change them ? How long would you say to complete this job ? Allan

  19. If you can pump the pedal to get normal pressure then it's sounds like you have air in the system, my advice would be to bleed the system again farthest wheel to nearest wheel ie n/s rear o/s rear n/s front last o/s front, defiantly air getting in the system, have you checked for any minor leeks? ..... Allan
  20. Hi Tony, every time I read this thread I feel your pain, I also feel that after all your loyalty and loads of dosh spent Lexus could have done more to help you and the derisory offer for your car just made it far worse......wish you well.. Allan
