  1. Hi Chris, welcome to the LOC, sorry i can't help with the gs300 but there are plenty of people on here that should be able to assist you, good luck with your quest for a nice gs300..... Allan
  2. Thanks Eric, taking off the front bumper is probably less stressful than taking your sat nav unit out and stripping it , is it all working ok now ? I need to take the cowling around the steering column off to get to the flasher unit for the indicators , you would think it would be located with the fuse box or would that make to much sense ?..... Allan
  3. Hi Eric, I did remove one of the lamps from the car and it does look like the tail light bulbs are sealed into the lens and are not replaceable so it stands to reason that are LEDs and not normal bulbs , so I'm just going to change the indicators to LEDs and reverse lamps , I have been reading the USA forums and someone mentioned the front bumper has to come off to get to the front indicators ! Hope not...... Allan
  4. thanks Normski, i got the flasher unit but cant seem to find the location of it ?
  5. Hi everybody , I was going to change the bulbs in my rear lights to LEDs but it seems this is not possible, I can change the indicator bulbs to LEDs but need to change the flasher unit which I don't know the location of so can anybody advise me please, are the rear bulbs sealed in the rear lamp and not replaceable by me ? Also can anybody advise where the flasher unit is located on my car , is250 sel MY2006...thanks in advance, Allan
  6. you know it makes sense ! right choice 17k its not even run in.... Allan
  7. Welcome to the LOC David , nice car , is it your first Lexus ? Auto or manual ?.... Allan
  8. Try getting in touch with Dr who about the time travel he might be able to give advice ! On your second point I would buy a tom tom .....LOL Welcome to the LOC Michael , hopefully some one will come up with some sensible suggestions ..... Allan
  9. That explains why beautifully ...thanks George Allan
  10. Hi Neil, welcome to the LOC, Normski has given some good advice about the IS250, I've had my 06 for a couple of months now and i'm enjoying it, pure luxury !!, I had the IS200 before and it was such a good reliable car I kept it for 9 years ! there are a couple of things to check on the mk2 lexus, the main one being the brake calipers, they do seize up if not maintained properly so do check this on any potential purchase ......good Lexus hunting !!! Allan
  11. welcome to the LOC chris, nice clean car you've got there.... Allan
  12. I would think the total capacity will be no more than 1/2 litre , not 100% tho
  13. I not confused at all , i know you don't have to have trade plates to be a trader , but if you have to sell cars to get traders insurance then surely you are a trader, yes or no ? Seems a lot of hassle to try and get cheaper car insurance.....
  14. If you need to sell at least 6cars a year, keep receipts etc does'nt that make you a trader ??? Allan
  15. I get so annoyed when reading posts like this, one of the reasons we buy Lexus is the reputation they have as a manufacture , seems they are no different to the other luxury car makers , they just rip us off all the time, this topic has totally put me off ever going to Lexus for any repairs !!!.... Lucky enough I do know how to repair most things on my car but I'm of an age where I don't want to get out and under the car, if only these dealers could get there act together I'm sure they would get more business .. More profit without the rip off ?.... Allan
  16. Hi Eric, my intrusion sensor does not show on the satellite and no I can't disable it as far as I know.... Allan
  17. I think it's do-able but I think the cost would outweigh the gains ? The brakes are pretty good on the Is, good enough for normal use anyway, if you needed extra braking power I think you need to be looking at brembo calipers and discs ,...plenty dollars needed for that !..... Allan
  18. Hi Keith, welcome to LOC, the addiction you have for Lexus is not curable I'm afraid, I'm on my second one now .....looks like I'm getting hooked, sounds like you've got a nice motor now, better start saving for the top dog Lex cos it sounds like that's what you really want...!!! Allan
  19. Well done John , I bet our friends from over the big pond get so envious when they read about our auto folding mirrors , but then I suppose they have got so much room over there they don't need such accessories ..... Allan
  20. Yes I meant sat nav DVD radio control unit worth checking no loose connectors .... Allan
  21. Eric I would not have thought sat/nav alarm or air con would change between petrol car or diesel car, maybe you've got a loose plug or wire behind the control unit ?.... Allan
  22. Hi Eric,ok i've finally got out my pit ,filled my belly with a nice bacon buttie and a cup of 'rosy lee' ,now to check out the dash lights on the car for you :- The security light comes on and flashes when i turn the engine off and the ignition, thats sitting in the car, the light stays flashing after getting out and locking the car, the recirculating light works and when selected you can hear some sort of noise like a small motor coming from the glove box area, i presume that a motor works some sort of flap behind the glove box, all the lights on this button work when you keep pressing it, ie recirculating...auto....outside. hope this helps..... Allan
  23. Hi Eric , no it wasn't James blunt it was the movement of the camera also have you got a roof on your garage ? It looks very wet in there !! I'm pretty sure the light on my dash flashes when the alarm is set, in fact I think as soon as the engine and ignition is off the light starts flashing... I will double check for you tomorrow ...... Allan
  24. Welcome to LOC Todd, that a good looking car , its the first one I've ever seen or even heard of !!! , , keep us posted on how the car performs in your ownership
