  1. I must admit that I am surprised that Lexus/Toyota have not went further with the Plug in Hybrid options. I think they could have been on a bit of a winner judging by what's available nowadays.
  2. Richard, I had the same opinion of PCP as you, always paid fully up front. But when I saw the way things were with dealer contributions and no penalty for early repayment I changed my view and went the PCP route intending to clear the balance within a couple of months. Such a shame that one year on I'm still fighting with my employer for unpaid allowances
  3. I fitted the Blackvue DR650 front and rear setup. The rear camera was very easy to install with only 1 video cable needed. I ran this tucked under the headlining to the pax side roof pillar, from there it was tucked in behind the trim down to the door sill and then along to the front pax footwell/door. From there it went up the front pillar and along to the front camera. The only place wires are visible is around the rear view mirror area where they come from behind the headlining and a little bit where the power cable goes into the centre console. I've not gotten round to hardwiring it yet as I'm figuring out where to pick up the feeds. I did look at the fuse box in the pax footwell, but you have to be a contortionist just to see the fuses, never mind do anything in that area. Nightmare of a job to check and replace a fuse if you're stuck somewhere.
  4. Going to leave it until service time in a couple of months, by then I should have racked up at least 4000 miles
  5. What are the body coloured mouldings? Can you post a picture up? Ta Ed No sure on the best way to let you see them, but if you go into my profile/ gallery, there is a couple of pics. If you can't see them, I'll re-post them.Cheers
  6. Got them for mine a few months back and also added the body coloured mouldings for the doors. Perfect colour match and so far, fingers crossed, no dings..
  7. I took out a 3 year, 3 service plan and had the price reduced by 12.5% to account for the LOC discount.
  8. Yes, it can be done. My one automatically connects when I get in, and my son's phone also does the same. The only snag I have seen, is one time when we both got in, it didn't seem to know which phone to connect too.
  9. No wonder they were not happy with the performance, according to the specs in the review, they were driving a THREE cylinder model ???
  10. Looks wise, I always think that the Evoque stylists gave it a kick up the arse and a slap on the head. Looks reasonable from the front, but my god, the back end is awful.
  11. Puddle lights fitted in a couple of minutes and they look pretty good..
  12. 7 months and managed 3200 miles with an average of 45.7 according to the dash readout.
  13. Perfectly legal to have in the U.K., but not too sure about some across the Chanel. The main purpose is to record what is happening in front of you, and behind if you have a two camera setup. The recordings can come in very handy should you be involved in an accident or something similar.
  14. The main thing is to be able to record events, even if it's a VHS video cam
  15. Oops, thought it was the music, never really used the sat nav as just go where my wife tells me..
  16. My one mutes the music during calls and when reading out text messages, maybe just some settings need adjusting.
  17. Still got it hooked up to the power outlet under the centre armrest as the car only gets used about once a week. I had a look at the fuse box, down by the passenger footwell, you need to be a contortionist to get near it. I'll get round to hard wiring in a couple of months time and try and pick up a couple of micro fuse taps
  18. Pics of my installation, although the pic of the rear is fairly dark. The wiring to the front is hardly noticeable around the mirror assy.
  19. Got the Blackvue DR650gw 2 channel, camera fitted neatly behind the mirror with the cables hidden out of sight. The rear camera is pretty small and hardly noticeable in your mirror. Good picture quality and has wifi capabilities to phones and tablets.
  20. Mine happens just as the brakes are at the point of release from being at a standstill. The noise lasts for less than a second, but can happen every time the brakes are released.
  21. Geoff, The ones described on your link look to be identical to mine. However, mine were eBay Item number 191435078217. If you Google this number you should get the relative link to, probably, ebay.com and not ...co.uk, which may not share the same numbers for the same items. Just ordered these ones and they seem to be a direct replacement for the original lights.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251742082764
  22. Mark, were the priced as a pair on eBay or is it 19.99 each ?Thanks
  23. Well, got my extended warranty sorted today, £795 for an extra two years. Also took out the service plan for two intermediate and one full costing £879.45 including the LOC discount. The only fly in the ointment is when I had a good look thru the details I've now got a Ford Fiesta??!!. Oh well, two steps forwards and a small stumble back.
