  1. For me, station ensemble changes multiple times between the house and the end of the street 200 yards away. Certain stations are lost just outside town and some are stable. I think the signals a flaky outside towns.
  2. Just noticed the other week when washing the car, on the inside of the fuel filler flap there is a sticker indicating that it’s okay to use E5 or E10.
  3. Humanity will never become pollution free when using carbon based fuels, hydrogen or nuclear. We’ll all just have to go back to using horses and then think of how good your rhubarb and spuds will be by recycling waste product.
  4. Better off with the Lexus ones. Blend straight in.
  5. There are these at loony tunes prices but I’m sure I paid 40 or 50 quid max for the set I bought from Lexus. http://www.jzsinternational.com/2013-2014-lexus-is250-is350-is300h-genuine-painted-door-edge-protector-japan
  6. Sorry, don’t have any part numbers but I can say that they do fit and look perfect, had them on all three of my cars over the last seven years. They’re easy to fit using a rubber/plastic hammer, just get them positioned correctly and tap them on.
  7. Don’t think I’d be coughing up £60+ for a plug in. I’d consider it if it was full electric with a WLTP range of at least 250 miles and Takumi spec.
  8. I was offered £29,000 trade in value on my 2018 RX450H Sport with 16,000 miles on the clock and in “as new” condition. Quite a few models in similar condition on sale at from £33,000 +. Didn’t bother with the offer as they wouldn’t include a jar of Vaseline.
  9. But take into account that the plug in version will be here soon.
  10. Was asked by a local dealership if I wanted to sell my 2018 RX Sport with 16500mls on the clock and as new condition. Got me a bit interested so I asked what is the trade in value and they valued it at £29,000. Done a couple of checks on Wizzle and they came back with offers of a fair bit more than a handful of loose change. Then had a look at new RX’s at the dealers and compared them to what’s listed on Autotrader, big difference there. Local dealers standard RX £52,000 but various dealers down south listing RX Premiums, some with extras, starting around £49,000 just got to figure out the next step which includes waiting on the updated NX plug in. Oh and BTW, Lexus Edinburgh does not give gold member discounts on servicing, only discounts on repairs.
  11. Beans, Beans, the musical fruit. and I’ll let someone else finish it off.
  12. Just voicing my opinion on Philip’s post about dealership attitude.
  13. Wow, atrocious customer service from Hyundai and Toyota. Mercedes not quite as bad but still poor. Think I’d be sending a gorillagram to Hyundai and Toyota congratulating them on how to loose potential customers.
  14. Pity there isn’t a way to connect up to the traction battery when parked up.
  15. Bought something similar, Carlinkit unit. Couldn’t figure out how to get the ice system to read the install file, so it been chucked into the back of the drawer.
  16. I think I’d be getting someone who can check out the individual cells and connections to see if there is a problem there. Have a trawl thru the forum to find the details of folk that specialise in this.
  17. Windscreens are sided....inside and outside hahaha....
  18. Sad to say but I should be able to downsize a bit later this year when I don’t have to carry wife’s mobility stuff. In general I’d just be pottering around locally with the odd 250 mile return trip a couple of times a year. Got an ace up my sleeve regarding the dealership standards, daughter’s husband is an after sales director with an MB dealership group. Everything’s a just maybe at the moment and as time goes on I’ll see what suits me best.
  19. O.K. so I’ve put on my Kevlar suit before mentioning this but the Lexus is due it’s MOT this month and I’ve had a look at the UX300e. Not really impressed by the space in the back, battery range or price, now considering the MB EQA. Quickly ducks below the parapet for mentioning MB, would have been a bigger sin if it was BMW.
  20. Still got the vibration/resonance at 1150 to 1200 RPM, added a couple of the weighted dampers to the exhaust but it just altered the RPM when the vibration occurred. Took one of them off and it seemed to reduce the vibration very slightly so I reckon that’s about as good as I’m going to get it.
  21. Main thing for me was that if I set the seat position exactly right for the pedals I found that I couldn’t get the steering wheel close enough, and vice versa. Bit the bullet and traded it in for an RX.
  22. I’m in a similar position as you Ed. Service No3 at a whopping 15,500mls, MOT, Extended Warranty and Road Tax all due in the next month or two, and then to crown it all the insurance is due for renewal in August. I reckon it’s better being safe than sorry, but I’ll see what discounts I can wheedle out of them.
  23. Whatever you do, don’t mention BMW, they charge you for just answering the phone......
