  1. Drove me nuts with adding bits of foam padding to everywhere in the boot until I stumbled across the boot mat rubbing on the tailgate.
  2. If you have the Lexus boot mat, then that can squeak on the tailgate.
  3. O.K. Can anyone pronounce the name of the seller ??
  4. Try some of the USA dealers like this one, maybe cheaper inc shipping. “belllexusnorthscottsdale”
  5. Not seen or heard anything like this, but I’ll keep trawling.
  6. So I nipped down to Lexus Stockport on Friday, feeling a bit apprehensive seeing it was Friday 13th, but no dramas. All done and dusted quite quickly with the help of Adrian from the sales dept. Had a nice relaxing journey back home except it started to rain for a while and as a result I was instructed to get the car washed, can’t have it sitting in the drive all dirty, can I ?. I’ve read the manuals etc, but have a couple of questions that need answering, so hopefully someone will know what to do. 1: Is there any way to stop the radio station details showing at the top of the screen every 20 seconds. 2: Can you stop the Satnav menu showing up every time you switch on. All in all, delighted with the new purchase.
  7. It’s the Sport, not “F”, basically the same as the Luxury but with black bits instead of chrome. I think the Sport was released fairly recently.
  8. Yes, Lexus Stockport. Liked my IS, but needed something a bit easier to get in and out of, so went for the NX. Found that although the NX is very nice, I just couldn’t gel with it, minor things such as another 2” of adjustment on the steering wheel would have made a big difference to me. Now to get acquainted with the big boy.. Have been advised by the boss that this ones a keeper, or else !!
  9. Should be picking this up at the end of next week providing everything goes O.K. Pre reg RX Sport with a handful of miles. Now to start memorising the owners manual.
  10. When my one was in for repair, I had an i20 initially as a courtesy car supplied by Enterprise but swapped it for a Vauxhall Mokka. Only cost me £35 for just over one week.
  11. I have an NX at the moment and I’m considering changing to an RX. What are the opinions on the ride comfort between the NX and RX Luxury/ F-Sport. Need something that gives a nice comfy ride due to my wife’s medical condition. Thanks
  12. Battery in under the interior trim in the boot, L/H side if I remember correctly. Yes, there is a fuse box under the glovebox in the passengers footwell area where you can tap into a power supply, both permanently live and ignition controlled. You have to be good at limbo dancing to get a good view of the fuse box.
  13. Had 4 cross climates fitted to my sons GT-86 today. Worked fine getting out of the snow covered car park and didn’t feel like the Primacy skis, but later on and twice as much snow it couldn’t get out the driveway. I’ll probably fit them to my NX for next winter.
  14. If the A/C needs re-gassing and the engine oil system needs a clean out, then there is something seriously wrong with your car and I’d be taking it up with Lexus U.K. Did they make any mention of a freebie KY jelly or Vaseline??
  15. Probably rust on the discs causing the pads to stick to them. The discs can have a slight coating of rust develop very quickly, especially noticeable when washing the car. More Han likely nothing to worry about, but have them checked over to be on the safe side.
  16. Just slipped the front to rear cable up behind the trim on the A pillar and along the edge of the headlining once the door rubbers have been pulled back slightly and then through one of the convoluted tubes leading from the body to tailgate. The only thing visible is an inch or two of cable at the front and rear cameras.
  17. Can’t remember which fuse I used as a feed but it was one for the IGN-ECU which was live only when the ignition was on. If you look at some the screws for an Earth, there are ones that go thru plastic fittings but do screw thru into metal
  18. Figured out why the wing mirrors won’t fold in....It because they’re door mirrors ...
  19. Toyota oil is fine as long as the grade is correct. 0W-20 seems to be the preferred grade for the engine.
  20. Door edge protectors are simple to fit, they come with instructions for the position and all you need is a rubber/plastic hammer. Fitted them on both my IS and NX.
  21. Couldn’t figure it out so had the dealer do it at service time..
