  1. I have, whats interfering with what? It's only a 12v to 5v converter the size of a large postage stamp. The car is full of electronics.
  2. Is this a picture quiz, because I think I have the answer.
  3. These recommend 5/30 fully synthetic, http://cararac.com/engine_oil/lexus/is250.html, so does the handbook. I buy it from my local Vauxhall specialist, 4 x 5 litres for £66. Does my car and the wife's. Filters from Halfords or ECP, whoever has a deal on.
  4. Or, get in the car key in hand. Do not touch any of the pedals. Press the button once and the radio should be made available, press it twice for ignition to initiate. As per IS250. Simples.
  5. Vauge or what? Don't fully understand what you're rant is. Insurance goes up every year, shop around. Insurance goes up when you have an accident, shop around. Did you have protected no-claims? Etc, etc.
  6. Have I stumbled into a non English Lexus forum? because reading these posts is either a foreign language or the writings of a remedial classroom😂 Do you people know about punctuation?
  7. This is the bloke you need to listen to. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ytmKry_ciOA
  8. Welcome Bob to the 3rd Century of the Third Millenium.
  9. I use a rubber type puck between the jack and the car. I bought theses before I got the Lexus, I'm not buying new jacks to suite the car. Similar to this:
  10. I had a 159 for about six years, what a stunning car to look at, but, the suspension, especially the front was a constant nightmare, fix one thing and another goes. If I wanted a gorgeous piece of art to adorn my drive I'd have a 159 or Brera, but not as a daily drive. Drove me nuts.
  11. These are the ones I bought. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B001JP3HXC/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1435176280&sr=8-2π=AC_SX200_QL40&keywords=2+tonne+axle+stand&dpPl=1&dpID=31XxiXu8CML&ref=plSrch
  12. And alfas are a pita. They walk the walk, but........
  13. They are the ones I have, from Amazon I believe. I use them on the pinch weld and a different pair under the suspension.👍
  14. Unfortunately this is not going to be diagnosed without taking the wheel off and getting dirty. Did all four wheels on mine last week, 3 hours steady work to strip down the callipers and free up the bastid rear pivot pins, but do-able.
  15. And, who did you use for this service? Still waiting.
  16. Yep, its very popular on the Alfa Romeo forum. I have changed the rear pads on my IS250, changed pads on all my cars over the past 40 years or so but I have never come across a really well seized up calliper pivot point as I have on both sides of the car. It was not the pins that hold in the pads but the bottom pivot, really took a lot of WD40, hitting with a rubber hammer and cursing.
  17. Yep, there are two, just need a cargo net to make use of them
  18. Sorry. I refer to the above poster.
