  1. If they have been ripped from their soldered joints as Chris mentioned you should, with the help of a jewellers loupe, be able to match the connections
  2. Having an educated guess here: One wire will be the live feed, one wire will be earth and the other will be a control wire that becomes live when the system is in use. Multimeter to find out which is which, or lick the wires.
  3. A quick search on the site, top right, and badabing badaboom...... Disclaimer: have not read the article. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/tutorials/article/174-lexus-gs430-lamda-sensor-locations/
  4. Try to keep it off the windows, difficult I know, but it's a sod to remove.
  5. What is your understanding of how the valet key system works? The valet key system, from memory, allows you to place items in the "glovebox" for security. You separate the key from the fob, lock your valuables in the glovebox, give the fob to the valet to drive the car away. You keep the key. He then has no access to the glovebox. Simples. Nothing to do with the boot as far as I'm aware.
  6. Delete the phone completely from your cars system and start again. I did that when I had issues with my iPhone and got it working.
  7. Is there a connector under the drivers seat? If I recall correctly this either needs a clean or a "technical wiggle".
  8. It's a boss car. You can spend your days selling narcotics/anabolics from its boot outside any gym
  9. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=not+really&FORM=HDRSC2
  10. Wasn't aware you could map a Lexus! or if you do doesn't the ECU relearn and revert back to the original Lexus map?
  11. There's a picture of my IS 250 in my gallery.
  12. Mine is supposed to be grey, but in reality its black, why? Cadoxton Slate/dark Granite
  13. I don't think it will clean your egr or any part of the system, but, if it's all clean in the first instance it would imagine it would assist in keeping it cleaner.
  14. Do the injectors require coding, via software, to the car?
  15. I have hard wired a dash cam. Easy. I took out the upper centre console to do the job. I wired mine to the window sensor, live when ignition on, just piggy backed the wires, soldered and heat shrinked. The cigarette lighter was taken apart and the PCB was rewired, it's a bridge rectifier rather than a transformer on the board. (Pedant) This was wired to the window sensor and the shortened usb lead making sure you get the polarity right, or you'll be sending smoke signals. The PCB was tucked, insulated, inside the console. Roberts your fathers brother, a couple hours work.
  16. Some good deals on sat navs at Halfords, get one with lifetime maps. My Garmin is a peach, updates every month or so. Love it, keep it in the car for when the Lexus boils my head.
  17. Mine aren't as tall as yours Colin, they are made of two pieces of 19 mm marine ply screwed together, but basically the same idea, spreading the load without crushing the welded seam.
  18. Nice info chaps, noted for future reference. Although no different to older cars with drum brakes, that we've all probably worked on over the years, except the knurled knob used to be accessed from the rear of the drum. I would imagine the parking brake is self adjusting, (I don't know where the adjuster is situated on my Lexus) and when it fails to self adjust its either the cable that's stretched or the shoes worn. Would it be fair to say that your adjustments for the parking brake, as I have always done, always starts at the rear wheels. If you cannot get the adjustment from there the cable is next. If you still can't get it right a new cable may be required.
  19. I find the Lexus sat nav very infuriating, I use it but I prefer my Garmin, that I bought a week before I decided to change my car, and buy the Lexus:lol: It took me around a reservoir in South Yorkshire before stopping at the car park I first passed on entering the village. And to get me on the M25 from a Heathrow hotel it took me through villages and towns that I had only heard of on Radio Two's traffic reports.
